I watched through S1 and really liked it. A bit surprisingly since I've never been able to get into Fielder's shows. Zersch's All Gas No Brakes comparison is definitely apt though. That Keith Raniere reveal was like a jump scare lol, after having watched The Vow. What a wild crossover good for John for at least trying to call him out at the time

SOMEHOW this has been out for three weeks with absolutely no promotion from HBO. I was just reading something about how no one knew that it had dropped

I watched 3x1 and it was great. Loved the self cleaning bathroom and the ending. MVP was that guy who lived in his trailer and was talking about how everyone but him is fucked if society collapses

Bird Watching one was wild, definitely one of the best

I think I read that the second to last episode was insane before the season started. Idk about insane. I figured the emails he was getting were faked just like the toilet thing. Obviously he just staged the explosion and just had the police act the part. I guess I didn’t get the point, just for the gotcha moment I guess. It didn’t really come together in the usual great JW way for me, but it was fun I’m assuming the airplane toilet overflowing at the end was fake too but who knows

A nice note to end it on, I liked his final thoughts on city life and liked the choice to end on a beautiful shot of NY Loved the line that was like "sometimes getting a late package is better than having no package at all". The castration guy was WILD Was kinda hoping the final episode was gonna be a bit meta somehow, like when the guy was talking about his bachelor notes I thought it would transition into John talking about/showing his presumably insane archive of footage and the way its organized with some ruminating on his life's work, esp. paired with the cryogenic stuff. Still enjoyed what we got though Sad it's over :( . I could use a new season every year, really fun/unique show. Interested to see what he does next

yeah I'm pretty curious what he'll work on next, this still seemed like a show that could go on forever if he wanted to. Besides part of the bird watching one it had to be cheap to produce too so I'm sure HBO would've been cool with it continuing

god that castration story made me cringe, wtf man. Nice guy tho!! I would've definitely been down to spend more time with the Bachelor man although the quick cut after "idk why I spend so much time on something that's so bad" was pretty great
