OK I just listened to them all. Here are my thoughts, written as I listened!


Christian - Metric "Combat Baby"
- Gives me Joan Jett vibes. I love this song! Never even heard of this band. Super smooth song... Wikipedia'd them. OK OK. 9/10

Mal - Death Cab for Cutie "Title and Registration"
- K this is pretty sad so far. Emo. Feels like Fall Out Boy needs to cry. Well produced but I am not in love with this. Will he JAM OUT shortly???? He better. I need a big loud rock drop. Someone just brought out the xylophone ok. Beginning to think this guy won't rock, only cry. Song is about to end. Fuck. Missed opportunity.... 2/10

Lamps - Ozma "Maybe in an alternate dimension"
- alright here we go lets rockkkkkk!!!! Tony Hawk would skate to this shit, I feel like darksliding baby. Oh fuck...... we just got real slow, oh boy. This guy better not cry. Oh snap, OK, his GUITAR is crying! This is good tears! Shreddin tears! OK now we got a generic white guy singing, let's see how he does. This reminds me of Weezer. Alright, let's kick it boys. He saying Legoland haha? 6.1/10

Havo - Gangstagrass "Long Hard Times to Come"
- Haha ok this is starting and I am confused and intrigued. This a rapping cowboy!??!?! ...Yes, yes it is!!!! This is a fun first listen. Unique. I think I would get really sick of this chorus after the second listen to this song though. The verses are solid. Very solid start to this song, but got kinda old for me quick. 6/10

Vernon - Pond "Fire in the water"
- Hey this is my song. Make sure you vibe out all the way to the end for the full experience. If you don't know the band POND you are seriously missing out. One of the many great things to come from Australia. This song is a BONUS TRACK on one of their albums, so generally, not as well known in comparison to all of their top tracks... 10/10

Maddie - Bonny Light Horseman "Deep in Love"
- Alright Bojack Horseman lemme have it!!! This is really nice right now. I feel like I'm watching the finale of a the sixth season of a tv show that I like and FINALLY the two characters that we love are finally hooking up for the first time, and slow dancing in the gymnasium. Oh yes. A little Simon and Garfunkle vibes. OOOOOoOoooooooOoooo. Dont youuuuuuuuUuuuUuUu. Break MY HEART!!!!! .... 8/10

Spin - Pop Evil "Work"
- OK. At first this gave me like Gatorade commercial vibes. Now it's giving me Haunted Mansion vibes, but mixed with Run the Jewels. Like, if they performed inside a Haunted Mansion. WORK, dadadadadada. All I do is *wolf screams*. I could definitely work out to this. A couple times. But, that might be abouttttt it..... now it's going into a fairytale vibe... sorry, not feeling something about this song... 1.9/10

Boc - CocoRosie "By Your Side"
- Is this about to be sad or happy? Sounds French. Please end this. Carter I really hate this song haha.... yikes... 0/10.

Ahoda - Sly and the Family Stone "You Can Make It If You Try"
- YAY LETS GET IT. Honestly this song already gets a bonus point just because Carter's song is finally over lol. This feels Jackson 5'y or James Brown. OK ok ok. Let's get down! I want to walk down the street to this song and do the Spiderman finger points at passerby's. Fun overall, but I wanted a little more.... 7.6/10

Merc - Nightwish "Nemo"
- OK close us out Merc. This song has Merc vibes and LOTR written all over it. Some middle earth band came together to shred gnarly pow. Oh fuck I would ace this song if I was 15 and playing Guitar Hero... VALHALLA, take my hand, let us go!!!!! ... 7.5/10
