Wikey, what the shit?
And if merc and I were going on a long raid trip and driver git o pick music, no chance in hell merc gets to drive at all |
What I play in my car depends entirely on who I'm with, but I'm ok with not having to drive.

I think this is one of the better Playlists actually.
I think Spin’s song “Jester” is my favorite. Could do without the Fbomb in it, but otherwise it’s quite solid to me.
Devils got a Gun
10,000 Beautiful Angels
Cold Blooded
All very good songs, each one has things I really like and a few things I’m not crazy about, but overall I”d say they are in the 7-8/10 range to me.
Bang the Drum all Day is also a terrific, but it’s something I’ve heard a thousand times, so I’ll pass on voting for it.
The songs I didn’t mention were all still pretty decent to me, nothing that I couldn’t listen too from time to time.
However Wikey song I thought was terrible. I don’t even understand the point of it. Is it a parody? Is it supposed to be that bad? IDK.

You guys need to show some appreciation for this lyrical genius
It's so hot, looks like you have three beaks, crow
The moon's so full, white hat on a pumpkin
You know there's something
The moon was a stone's throw
Stop the show, I need to say hello to the crow
Light the fire piano
The moon showed up and it started to show
Tonight there'd be ice cream
Ice cream for crow
Ice cream by night, sun cream by day
Ice cream for crow
Ice cream by night, ice cream by day
The sun ain't stable
Ice cream for crow
Crow Pants, the scarecrow, Crow dance', ah, ho, ho
Crow dance' a' panther, scarecrow, you answer
You can hee and haw, laugh and scratch
Ha ha ha, ha ha ha
Boss and toss
Don't shake my hand, give me your claw
Two tears in a haystack, scarecrow, get back
Tonight there'd be a feather treatment
Beneath the symbol we'll all assemble
Oh how we'll fly, oh how we'll tremble
Cut the cake, we'll all get well
Turn up the speakers, hop, flop, squawk
It's a keeper - ice cream for show
Oh! Ice cream for crow
Now, now, now, that's it
Now you can go! | |

wasn't crazy about any of these but I went with
Whitehorse "Devil's Got A Gun"
Dua Lipa "Don't Start Now"
Christine and the Queens "Tilted"
Bang the Drum All Day is decent but is forever tarnished for me since it's the song they play after every Packers TD
Ice Cream for Crow sounded like someone doing a terrible Dolemite impression

The full French version of Tilted is arguably better if you’re interested. It’s the OG but I heard this one first so I prefer it

Curtis I feel like I've heard your song before. Was it from a movie or show or something? |

No clue! I haven’t heard it in anything as far as I know. I heard of it via a Boston music festival

Fuck I've just seen the picture for this one. Horrible.
Ok here goes:
Ahoda - Jimmy Chicken Shack "High" - Pretty good, terrible band name though.
Curtis - Christine and the Queens "Tilted" - hahaha what is this, French? Sounds ok I guess, I'd listen to it if I was in a futuristic nightclub in the Bladerunner Universe. Reminds me of Think by Kaleida in a way, but not as good.
Christian - Whitehorse "Devil's Got A Gun" - My fav so far, I like that guitar bit at the start. Good chorus, lyrics and harmonies.
Spin - Badflower "Jester" - The chorus is catchy. Not really my kind of thing, but it wasn't a chore to listen to.
Lamps - Besides Daniel "10,000 Beautiful Angels" - Decent
Mads - Gary Clark Jr. "Cold Blooded" - Nice groove and guitar playing, but this song sounds like it belongs in the 1970s. Every time I listen to Gary Clark Jr. I come away with the same opinion: he's good at imitating the sounds of the past, but doesn't really offer anything new. Granted, I've only listened to a handful of his songs.
Josh - Dua Lipa "Don't Start Now" - Oh god damn it Josh.
Sock - Todd Rundgren "Bang The Drum All Day" - Very silly!
Boc - Stars "Your Ex-Lover Is Dead" - I like the instrumental section with the cello, but the rest of the song isn't doing much for me. Lyrics are good tho.
Merc - Agalloch "...And the Great Cold Death of the Earth" - haha, did the singer lose his voice after the first verse? The classical guitar part is pretty good, as is the evil cello bit. But the song is depressing and the lyrics are silly. I don't want to hear about the cold death of the Earth thank you very much.
Havo - Tony Carey “A Fine, Fine Day” - Extremely 80's, sounds like a less successful version of Brian Adams or something like that. Just read this guys Wiki, he was in Rainbow apparently.
Wikey - Captain Beefheart "Ice Cream For Crow" - lol, no regrets, this is great. Howlin' Wolf on crack. Who made it all the way through?
BTW I don't know who or what Dolemite is
Gonna vote: Devil's Got a Gun, High and Cold Blooded

This wasn't a terrible playlist, for the first 75% of it.
I voted for "Jester", "High", and "Cold Blooded".

I'm changing it up a bit and going with Jimmy Chicken Shack "High" |
I really liked these guys back in H.S., and don't think I've even thought about them since. Thanks for the reminder.
