also if anyone uses Spotify and isn't listening to the Discover Weekly playlist yet, do it. I probably only save like 1-3 of the songs (out of 30) per week, but it's THE best way to discover new songs/artists that I've seen

No and anyone that thinks that "music today sucks" probably loves AC/DC.

I did. Music now a Days is straight trash

At what point did you stop enjoying new music?

Grunge died and I found 60/70s Motown. That was the greatest era of music ever.

I want to argue with you but hell sometimes Motown is all a man needs.

I usually discover through their “Made for You” playlists.

I agree with this.

And if you take the time to actually go in and like/dislike the songs they give you, they only get better over time.

Release Radar is also a good one. It takes the new music from New Music Friday but gives you the ones that they think you'd be most interested in based on your taste.

It's only artists' you've listened to, so it's the absolute worst one to discover new artists.

I need to correct my original statement.

The 70's was also part of the golden age, and then it lasted through the 80's and most of the 90's.

I mean, the music produced in the 00's, 10's are still good, but today's stuff is not really groundbreaking.

So are indie artists the way to go today?

Maybe I listen to Spotify more than my local radio stations.

Maybe it's just me but my experience with indie has been pretty cookie cutter too just in its own way, there's a lot of subtle boring stuff to sift through. Maybe I need to take Josh's advice and let Spotify learn my tastes
