I've played every smash game since release (melee is still my fave, have my old gamecube and CRT tv still kicking in my office), will be fun to try out each and every character.
Apparently the gamecube controller adapters are being delayed until March 2019 in the UK. What a shit. I've got the special edition which includes it though and allegedly those are fine (at least Amazon hasn't cancelled my pre-order yet or warned me that it isn't. Really hope they do!)
You can get unofficial ones which is probably needed since the scalpers will be all over that the second it comes back around. Really wish Nintendo would stop under-producing things!
I don't think I can play Smash on anything but a Gamecube controller these days either, although I never did the whole Wavebird wireless thing back in the day.
They already decided on the DLC. Makes me anxious and the game hasn’t even come out yet.
Did they announce it? Or just say they know what the DLC will be? I'll be VERY surprised if Sora isn't one of them.

Not announced, Sakurai just said that Nintendo have picked all their choices and he's decided which ones to implement. First two are already pretty strongly hinted towards. Last three are anybody's guess (there was a leaker who suggested the third character but has since doubled back entirely).
Considering Nintendo picked them all, they're likely mostly marketing choices to be honest. Fully expecting Sora to be the first in conjunction with an eventual KH3 switch announcement.
I am ready to play this all weekend. Sometimes my apartments effs up shipments and it shows up two days late so if that happens there is going to be hell to pay
