Why do they refuse to bring back purchasing properties?
I loved that shit in the early games.
I don't rly know. It was a nice feature that boosted "motivation" as you built up your empire, but I don't necessarily need it. I guess it's not "cool" from R* point of view. Maybe it's story-related where you don't buy properties but break into them and live there until....the owners come back or whatever. I guess it's something they could add easily, but R* just thinks it doesn't fit.
I was happy as shit when I bought the property in the middle of the desert with my own hangar. best property in SA ;D
"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."

btw: weapon attachments and gore as seen in Max Payne 3 are confirmed aswell.

I guess they will port it to PC since every GTA so far came to PC aswell. Hopefully it will be released like 1-2 months later as they did with MP3 (and not 6-7 months later as was the case with GTA IV). Possibly they gonna do a PS4 port aswell, but that's just rumors...so who knows.
It could and would look much better on PC with direct x11 and all that, possibly higher draw distances, higher resolutions, detailed textures and shit. Though not yet announced I really hope there will be a PC release simply for traditional reasons. RDR would have been HEAVEN on earth (on a PC) but the consoles code already was such a huge mess (complicated as fuck they said or something) and so a PC port was like undoable to them, or too time-consuming. IF, big fuckin if...if they decide not to port V to PC aswell I will throw stones into the R* headquarters/offices and sh*t. there will be blood etc...

Yeah. I can wait months for V to get to the PC because I'm broke, but I'm sure it'll get here before the year's out.
I'm still holding out hope that RDR gets to the PC one day. It'd be great if they did a surprise announcement for some anniversary edition and were like "Guess what? We rewrote a lot of shit and now we can port it!"
Holy shit. Everything about that article makes me all tingly inside.
Particularly happy to hear about advancing skills being back. I loved that in San Andreas where you started out shitty at shooting, holding a sprint, swimming, etc but got better as the game progressed.
Recruitable gang members returning too? Hell yes.
Great to hear about clothes, tats and haircuts making a return. Gotta wonder how that'll work though what with one of the main characters being bald.
Properties being bought is fine but I really wanted to see businesses brought back. Ecstatic to hear about that. Hope they have missions to go along with them like Vice City did.

LOL grim that would be so WIN, but that train has taken off and isn't coming back. R* is seemingly creating games while creating games, as in they always have a project running, simultaneously. They simply don't have TIME to do that port anymore.... though I would LOVE to play RDR on PC....very much. Fortunately Max Payne 3 was perfect and a fleshed out bullet time mode that almost made me forget about RDR's gunplay.
Still missing the landscape and western style though....I just hope that next Red Dead title will be released for PC aswell...I really do!

When V was announced all I wanted was San Andreas in HD. The fun of it, the look, the mechanics, the things you can do (as you mentioned above). And now it has been pretty much confirmed that it will be like SA only in HD. So yeah I hear ya man. Defo. I'm very excited about it aswell!
