7 was even maybe even better. Love the addition of Robert Wisdom. Bunny Colvin! Always commands the screen
My GOD Sally! She broke bad. I I have no idea where they're going with her but it's exciting
Hader directed this one. I just found out he's directing EVERY episode next season. +++

Theory for the finale
|
Could they ACTUALLY kill off Barry in the finale? I can…kinda see it. And that’s why Hader has all the free time to direct? I feel like if any show would attempt that it would be this one |

S3 finale
|
Jesus. Bleak scene after bleak scene. Everyone was in such a bad place and went through the ringer. The Gene/Jim convo. The Sally attack scene. Noho Hank and the tiger. Christobol and Hank. Barry and Albert. And then the classic ending
So good. So long, comedy!
Maybe the best season? I’d have to rewatch 1 and 2 but this season was so consistent and it felt like it knows entirely what it wants to be at this point
Genuinely thought Moss was gonna kill Barry at the end. Did not expect the Gene ploy, that was such a good scene. Barry and Fuches in prison together next season? Seems likely. Very curious to see where they go from here
Bill Hader killing it

...idk this season kinda just came and went for me. There wasn't a whole lot I was super invested in or made a lasting MARK. It was all well done / enjoyable enough but yeah
Then again I quickly forgot a lot of details about the first couple seasons despite liking them so maybe that's just this show for me. I do feel like the portion set in the acting class has been the strongest tho and that the show lost a lil something when it moved on from that

Kinda agree re: the acting classes but I also think it would’ve run its course pretty quickly if it stayed as the focus. It was probably smart of them to move on when they did, I like that they’re now dipping into actually booking parts and starring in a show and getting cancelled (both your show and..you!). None of it has been as FUN as the acting classes but I like that they’re exploring all parts of the industry. I wonder what’s next

the D&B scene was funny, with Hank running around the table
apparently that bit wasn't scripted and they came up with it on the day

one of the better eps in a while. Especially liked the Cousineau break-in scene (fun use of surround sound) and the ending
|
I thought Bunny just straight up killed that journalist for a sec. What did he do to that man! |

Great ep
|
I liked that Sally’s class turned on her
The Fred Armisen cameo came outta nowhere. I love the way Bill Hader directs action/violent scenes like that. Also liked Hank and Barry’s breakup but it was sad <///3

Woahhhh, love an unexpected time jump. That'll be interesting
Another great one. Cristobal's death and the end of that duo was very sad. Hank became quite the hypocrite after telling Barry off last ep! Guessing we'll see him as a kingpin post-time jump and maybe Barry tries to settle the score
Cool seeing Michael Ironside, I barely recognized him
Best two bits were
1. The way Gene tried to slice bread
2. The actual director or Coda playing herself and making fun of going from best picture winner to MCU. Seemingly a direct shot at Chloe Zhao lol

one of the better eps of the series and it barely featured Barry. His one line (in present day) was perfect though
|
tbh I liked them getting back to the roots and reminding us that yeah, NoHo Hank is not a good guy at the end of the day. Kinda like they did with Barry further back after we started to sympathize with him
idk if I just started noticing or if it's always been the case, but damn the sound design in this show is really good. Especially for the kind of show it is. That scene of the Cristobal getting buried alive was v well done / claustrophobic
I kinda assumed that scene at the end was Barry's imagination at first, but considering the untidy way it ended maybe not? That'd be quite the departure, but I'm all for it |

damn, really liking this season. Think it's been a big step up from S3
|
this timeline jump is a wild departure but I'm digging it |
