I was very indecisive on the rating but regardless I enjoyed the movie very much.
The iphone shtick is pretty cool but it wasn't the element that stuck with me. Very similar to Victoria and it's one shot, I found it impressive but not as impactful as the acting and use of music.
Sean Baker is very talented at utilizing his actors. It feels as if he decides on very few characteristics of what he wants and then let's the subjects carry the movie. Just like Florida Project, he puts a lot of faith in his actors and it shows.
The movie's length was spot on. A few scenes drag, especially the Donut Store confrontation, but the constant intercuts definitely help keep the pacing up. | |

Sean Baker is easily one of the most overlooked directors of the 2010's. The Florida Project was also incredibly overlooked by most.
Also - smh at Steven Soderbergh acting like a fucking revolutionary atm for shooting Unsane on an Iphone whilst Sean Baker did it back in 2015 and didn't make a big deal about it. | 'Oh my god, it's full of stars!'
