It's true. Every time they interview a player from the winning team they thank god for giving them the strength to win. Then, when they interview a player from the losing team, they never thank god for making them inferior on that day.
God is a dick (when it comes to sports). He's probably got money on the games. |
No, I get it. I was lol'ing because this happens in every kind of contest. I was thinking of BB and Survivor to be specific, where people pray to God about helping them and say whatever happens is "God's will" and it's just so silly. Whether you believe in God or not, I doubt he/she/they cares either way. |
I loved Lisa Welchel's response at the finale reunion of Philippines. She hits this topic if I remember correctly and basically says she knows God doesn't care about what happens in a game like Survivor, but does care about each person individually. I like that a lot. Because I believe that's true too!

By the way, a lot of europeans are not very religious, it's for the most part just the older generations. So in a sense, it speaks to Darkus's unfiltered thoughts on these subjects I guess. The most experience I had from religion growing up was Jehova's Witness people knocking on my door talking about weird stuff lol.

I honestly think religion sucks! It's nice to have a community of people who care...I guess I should say "care"...and people who have similar beliefs to you, but I've learned a lot over the last year. So much crap in my life and a lot has to do with religion in my opinion. It really isn't a good thing.
I don't think God would really be for religion in my honest opinion. I don't think he would be a part of it. It's a hateful, hateful thing.

A kittens floofy cuddliness gives them the edge in the cuteness factor, though the puppies are also super cute.
