MAIN QUEST

A. Attempt to cut off his tentacles

DS and Igor charge towards the monster and begin gnawing at its limbs. They manage to chew through a few before a tentacle smacks them back to the edge of the swamp. Still, they did some damage. [+8 COINS]

B. Stand very still and hope he doesn't see you

Jamie and Brian freeze and prey the creature doesn't sense their presence. It fails miserably as two tentacles slap each one against the base of a tree. [-5 COINS]

C. Swim into the swamp to try to locate the source of the tentacles

Half the group; Bryce, KC, Rose, and Nofo, attempt to take the fight to the belly of the beast. They dive down into the murky swamp before quickly realizing how toxic the water is. They swim back to shore but the damage is done. [POISONED]

D. Run away

Not a single member of the group decides to flee. A shame, as they might've stumbled across the keys stuck in the mud a few yards away. [+1 KEY]

The Cthudow wasted no time in launching its attacks, and the eight critters wasted none in throwing each other into harm's way.

As the tentacles shot their way out of the swamp, all teamwork went out the window as each member of the group tried to shove the tentacles away from themselves and onto someone else.

Bryce managed to fly away quickly, totally unscathed by the incident. Jamie hopped his way around the slimy Cthudow's limbs and also found his way to safety.

Brian, Rose, and KC ducked and dodged through a fury of tentacles. They took a few hits, but they too managed to scurry away.

DS, Igor, and Nofo were all that remained within range of the Cthudow.

"Fuck this, you're on your own!" Curtis said as he crawled away slowly like an inch worm.

Nofo flapped his wings rapidly and began lifting upwards, but one of Cthudow's slimy limbs slapped him back down to the ground.

Igor began prancing away, but his hind legs were quickly wrapped up and he was dragged back towards the swamp.

DS tried sneaking away towards the rest of the group when a large tentacle slammed down before him, cutting off his path and sending him crashing onto his back.

"We have to just all make a run for it together!" DS shouted over the whaling hallo's of the beast. "He can't get all of us."

"Um. Yes he fucking can, he has like 12 limbs." added Nofo.

"LETS BATTLE!" Igor yelled defiantly.

"I'm telling you, it's the only way." started DS. "When we run and the tentacles lunge towards us we have to all bat them away together."

"Fine. Let's go." Nofo replied.

"LETS GOOOOOOOOOO!!" yelled Igor.

The three turned their backs to the Cthudow and bolted. All that separated them from the rest of the group was a quick climb up a muddy hill. They could almost taste the safety of the hilltop.

"HERE IT COMES! STICK TO THE PLAN!" yelled DS as the Cthudow lunged three scruffy faced limbs towards them.

One tentacle reached Nofo and he immediately batted it away with his wing in Darren's direction.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" screamed Darren.

When another shot towards Igor, he used his antlers to pin it against DS and away from himself.

Three tentacles wrapped their way around DS' furry body as he dug his claws into the mud to keep himself in place. Nofo and Igor hardly looked back as they continued fleeing up the hillside to safety.

Darren looked up above him and saw Nofo and Igor rejoin the other five at the top of the hill. The seven looked down at him sorrowfully.

"Fucking popularity contest." he muttered as he loosened his grip.

The tentacles ripped him backwards off of the hillside and wrapped him up tightly. They swarmed around his entire body and began to squeeze violently. Darren's four paws reached out towards the group in disappointment as the Cthudow ripped him below the surface of the water.

All of Cthudow's limbs soon followed. Bubbles popped where DS was dragged under, but the surface soon flattened out and became stagnant once more. The water was still, and DS was no more.
