I do think they could've done a better job giving a REASON story-wise for the repetitive gameplay rather than so many arbitrary fetch quests. But even though the gameplay was repetitive I thought it was extremely fun to play, and this is coming from someone who's typically not huge into stealth OR survival horror games. It took everything good about the first and improved on it I think. There was enough progression that it kept the core gameplay fresh enough for me

the hunting pistol, flamethrower, and much later the silenced SMG were all really fun weapon additions this time around

I really liked it. I like Abby.

I'm still taking my sweet time and just got to the part where the dogs come in. I'm gonna try to avoid hurting them, but if they wander into trap mines I've set, that's on them.

that last joel and ellie conversation definitely pulled at the heart strings. I like the endingbut it took a long time to get there. I didn't find it as repetitive as you guys. They kept switching things up enough to make it seem fresh even though it was same mechanics And I felt like a horrible monster every time I had to kill a dog. Poor Alice. She deserved better. It still makes me sad when I had to kill her
