I agree on the gun thing. I don't know who the heck I would be comfortable giving it to.

Personally, I would not mind having it. It's worth pointing out that I was pretty much the most epicfail scum ever last time around, so if I were going to use it for evil, odds are pretty darn good that you guys would see it coming a trillion miles away.

Also, meh, why not let Ari drive?

I was actually starting to side with you a bit until that! BUT ANYWAY, that's not relevent here.I'm not so sure we should be all jumping aboard the Ari busdriver bandwagon at this point. We have no idea what the role entails, do we? Maybe we should discuss that and the possibilities related to it before we let the first person to ask have it?

If we have to vote someone into the position of driving the bus we're all on, we're probably handing them a rather important secondary role/power/ability/whatever. I'm not entirely sure how the mechanics are in play here or what that role could be, but we should stop and talk about that a bit before we start giving it to whoever because "*shrug*"

I'm fine with ultimately chosing Ari if we decide that's what we want, but I think we should actually have some REASONS behind the decision. Let's discuss it a bit first.

As for the gun, no idea! Maybe THAT is the thing Ari should get? Whoever has that will be pretty clearly implicated if they use it against the wishes of the group. If that gun fires, we'll know about it. Ari isn't one that could talk his way out of fucking that up.

I'm pretty lost on the henry talk, but I was not part of previous labs.

Pretty hard to justify why or why not someone can/cant be the bus driver at this point, as the title has been pretty ambiguous thus far. Going to be hard to provide solid reason to support anyone claim at this point? IMO if we have a volunteer, so be it.

It's not Ari I have any kind of problem with. What I have a problem with is bandwagoning. I realize there isn't much to get into heavy discussion about yet, but some discussion>no discussion. Just rolling with whatever everyone else wants without any reasoning is silly.

I'm not comfortable with just shoving anyone into the position without discussion of what the position might entail. We have no idea what the bus driver does or can do, while a gun is pretty self explanatory. If Ari is trusted enough to have a mystery role we probably won't know the full details of, why isn't he trusted enough to hold onto a gun, something we'd actually be able to track, know roughly the purpose of, and could deal with the ramifications of if it ever came to it?

For the moment Ari's probably not going to shoot a gun off in someone's face. Because whoever has the gun knows we know they have the gun. Any stable personality regardless of alignment would avoid firing the gun if it wasn't public decision.

I dont think there are any arguments on who should really be the bus driver. We obviously dont know what it does or anything like that.

I just volunteered cause I know im good :D You obviously wont believe me now but ill be straight forward and tell you guys what I get (if anything) from this.

I think im a decent choice cause people arnt going to take any shit from me like many people here could get away with. Im not a good liar at all and everyone really wants to see me fail. Its not like im this grand puppetmaster....

lol I'm not saying you shouldn't have the role! I'm saying we should discuss what we think it might entail and who would be the best fit for it. But mostly I'm saying we should actually discuss something. Just going with whatever because *shrug* is silly. We have a pretty good idea what a gun does, right? It kills someone. Given Lab 2 (metagaming (: ) it probably only has a single bullet. It could kill someone. But death doesn't seem to be a huge setback to success in this game, while making yourself suspicious by firing a bullet into someone's head is.

What matters most is the final phase and how that goes, and we know from the rules that there are roles and oppurtunities that effect that. What exactly the bus driver does isn't specified at all beyond driving the bus we're all on. Given that its a less obvious role, I think it has the higher potential for importance than the gun. I think who we hand the wheel over to matters more than the consideration we're giving it, which seems to be LOL WHATEVER.

Meanwhile, a gun is a gun; it probably kills one person. I don't think that's as huge in this game. At the very least, its not something we should be wussing out of talking about. It's important, but I don't get why no one is "comfortable" with someone having it, but the helm of the thing we're on is a shoulder shrug and a meh to the first person to post.

It's silly. We wouldn't have to pick a bus driver if it wasn't important.

I find myself agreeing with this.

However, it is not worth taking the risk if Ari is scum. The gun could be very useful to us for the final showdown, but it could also be the death of us if it ends up in the wrong hands.

So, I propose that Ari takes it, but only on the condition that he gives it away to any player who proves themselves as innocent (providing he doesn't first).
