Opinion of Show vs. the Comic

I did not like how the show did it because it frankly doesn't make much sense. In the comic the only interaction that Rick and the saviors have really had is the time where Rick was ambushed coming back from the Hill Top and they killed them all (similar to the spring season premiere). Someone was then shot in the eye by Dwight and Negan makes his grand entrance killing a member of the group. However on the show Rick and his gang have already killed about 30 of Negan's men so really they are getting left off so easy. Also in the comic the group that Negan captured was only 6, not half the freaking population of Alexandria. Really it would make sense for Negan to just wipe out Alexandria because the war has already started. I get making it a season long even but I feel like it was pretty dumb how Negan is just like, ya you killed 30 of men, I am just going to kill one dude.

I removed any names of people who died in the comics. Pretty petty stuff but it just made a lot more sense in the comics.

I know I am turning into one of those comic a-holes who can't just appreciate the show. I am trying.

There's no way that the character survives though, right? Like, there's no escape without paying the price for what they did to the Saviors. I think Negan should off more than just one of them, there's too many to follow.

I would watch a show with just Carol and Morgan and their new friends though!

I kind of hope it is Aaron or Rosita just to continue with this refusing to kill of anyone who is a major character charade

Seriously though, it was a fantastic episode with AMAZING build-up that was leading everyone to feel sick to our stomachs with NO payoff. Six months from now? Everybody will be shrugging their shoulders going "eh" to whoever dies. They had such a rising feeling of hopelessness and despair and then several minutes of pure TORTURE waiting to see who was going to die... and they're throwing all of that away for a six month break. It lessens the death so much.

Not even pissed about this as a fan tbh, just looking at it from a publicity angle, it just doesn't make sense to me.

I love him so much - I hate that he's Negan, though.

That ending didn't make sense... Just Gimple doing one of his gimmicks again. Such a bad ending to an otherwise decent episode imo, with absolutely no pay off whatsoever! They literally raped the most iconic comic moment for their cop-out cliffhanger bs.

Set photo leaks prior to the season premiere will honestly ruin it. AMC blew an amazing oppertunity!

Finally IMDB has something of subtance. If you feel cheated by this ending (like I do) go and read the reviews on IMDB. They're trash-talking the shit out of it, and its one of the lowest rated episodes, lmao. AMC fucked up so bad it's almost comical!

It's kind of interesting to play with, but warning - if you live on the East Coast. especially in a city like New York, Boston, etc, you should probably head for the Rockies at the first sign of an outbreak!

FE should buy a bunker in the Rockies just in case.
