Cart how could you dislike the Tarkin scenes!!! U negative nancy, I thought it was reall well done considering how hard the task is and how shitty past attempts have been. There are little facial ticks where you can tell it's CGI but STILL, I thought it was an impressive job. I enjoyed watching the Tarkin scenes just because of it

I had no idea he'd even be in the movie going in so it's not like I went in expecting it to be bad. But as soon as he showed up on screen I felt like I was watching a Call of Duty cutscene or something. It wasn't like the worst CGI I've ever seen but it was definitely noticeable enough to take me out of the movie. I just wish they would've wrote around him, it's not like he HAD to be in the movie (like if they used your idea with setting up Krennic as a big bad only for him to be struck down by Vader). Leia didn't need to be in it either

Also my boy Giacchino did a great job

You think so? Personally I didn't find any of the score that memorable. Especially for it being a Star Wars movie, where the score is kind of a huge piece

Yeah, I kinda thought it was great because there was no noticeable change to me, it felt like it could've been Williams. At the same time it probably kinda restricted him from creating his own themes because I'm sure the studio wanted all the classics

I really enjoyed it, felt so different, and I found it much better than TFA.

I love the setting and grittiness of it all. The Easter Eggs didn't feel forced. I immediately smiled at some of them like Red leaders and gold leaders showing up in the battle, Red 5 being shot down paving way for Luke to take over. I feel those guys in the Cantina Luke bumped into weren't the same two cause technically they would have been destroyed by the Death Star, I just assumed it was someone of the same race.

Anyway storywise I never thought anything felt forced and it flowed right up to the end/beginning of A New Hope.

Was Vader on Mustafar? Almost certain that was the planet he was on as they purposefully did not name it.

I like how they explained how there was a weakness in the exhaust as my cousins and I always had this joke since childhood that some idiot built the Death Star without realizing the weakness through the exhaust port (even if it's a 1-1000 shot). Now it makes sense that they were sabotaged.

I was actually impressed with the GOVERNOR Tarkin CGI, I really thought he would look cheesy but they did a good job with him.

So you're saying two characters that happened to be the exact same race happened to be hanging out with each other, and one happened to have an equally fucked up face to the one in Episode 4? That's even WORSE!! Are all the members of those races bred to be best friends who are overly aggressive towards strangers??

How did they survive the blast? I mean I guess it's possible they flew off before the Empire destroyed the city

Haven't seen it yet, but not worried about "spoilers". I believe you are referring to Dr Evazan and Ponda Boba- and why wouldn't they be running around here? They have the death sentence on 12 systems! Got to hide out somewhere.

I was already expecting to get teary-eyed when I see this, but now I don't know when I actually want to go to a theatre because I know I'm going to full on cry.

I finally saw it! Tarkin didn't really bug me, I loved all the little references like the Rebels shoutouts etc, and I teared up a few times but didn't actually cry until the very end (because of course). My mom gave me tissues and I was still crying walking back to the car. The good news is I liked the film and now my mom wants to watch the others and I spent like five minutes explaining where Rogue One fit into the films' timeline.

I saw it the other day, I really enjoyed it, from start to finish.

The only thing I have to complain about is that Leia said in Episode IV that she was on a diplpmatic mission to Alderaan, explaining herself to Vader. But they were clearly part of the battle. Plothole?

Loved all the scenes with Vader and the Death Star.

Let's just pretend that Vader didn't get the license plate, caught up to them later, and all of Alderaan's ambassador ships look like that so they tried to fake it the best they could lol.
