I've had to actively seek out people hateing on it, myself.

I'll tell you now a lot of people are pissed off on Facebook. Relatives and local friends etc. A lot of bible verse quoting and end times talk.

I've been living in a rural part of Ohio lately and it's crazy how many people are opposed to the notion of gay marriage (or consider it ludicrous). We had this parade going on outside the restaurant I work at today, and a bunch of people assumed it was some pride thing and laughed it off.

It was actually an anti-heroin rally!

I'm used to the millennial collegiate view of gay marriage and it's such a culture shock getting out of that.

So anyways, i am genuinely happy that the gays got a symbolic victory but it still kinda sucks for them that they'll never get to have a real marriage.

No its a gay marriage, its kinda similar to a regular marriage but its not really at all.

It's kinda like imitation crab meat, while still edible it has pretty much nothing to do with actual crab other than the flavor.

Like I said, its a nice symbolic gesture but its kinds like when I let my 6 year old nephew beat me at video games and then he runs around yelling "I beat uncle Chris at smash bros" or whatever. And I just pat him on the head and I'm like "sure you did big guy" with a nod and a wink.

That's what gay marriage is, theyre running around all happy because they can get gay married and we're all like "you sure can big guy" with a nod and a wink.
