I didn't even know half of these roles existed. We're probably in for an interesting night.

Also, I agree with Herm. :P

We should probably look at the people who discarded powerful Town roles first. But like I said before, we shouldn't just assume they can't still be Town. Although there are a couple I'm curious about, Curtis included.

Christian, your role seems like it was pretty powerful.

Also, the Vanillas. I get it. No special abilities makes the game less interesting for you. So there's got to be at least one of those people who opted to take a scum role instead. But it's all just speculation. We should definitely uses these lists as a guide, but I think they will be more helpful down the road.

Here's a list I found. I don't think all the roles are in it, but some of the weird ones I didn't know are.

It was something about submitting a name each night and being told whether I suspected that person was an Alien. I didn't know if Aliens were the villains or if they were third party or what. But I would also scan as an Alien, so I opted to not take one. I already come off scummy enough as it is. lol

I would pick any role over vanilla any day. It's a no brainer that people would choose any town role over vanilla. There could also be some people that took a scum vanilla role over a powerful town role just for playing the alignment they want. It's totally random. :/

Yeah I agree and I think it's ridiculous of Christian to say that one of the people who discarded town vanilla must be mafia. With 139 possible roles that's reaching a lot. Not only do I not think you can boil it down that easily but, it doesn't even make any sense. I would be more inclined to think someone who discarded a mafia role may have had two to choose from. But again, so random and no way to tell.

There's so many possibilities...

- get rid of a town role, for a better town role
- get rid of a town role for a scum role
- get rid of a scum role for a better scum role
- get rid of a scum role for town role

For the most part I think people got rid of their roles to take either a better, or more fun role that they can do something with.

Yes, that is what I'm saying though. There's no way to know for sure based on these roles and the discard list. But it will be very helpful down the line.
