NCIS - S03E17 - Ravenous
Not a movie but DiNozzo is so dreamy it doesn't matter.

oh I forgot, I saw Brave recently. It was a lot of fun. I didn't really know what the plot would ultimately be from the trailers but it ended up interesting enough.
Dunno how I would rank it against the other pixar movies though.

Finally got around to seeing THE FOUNTAIN last night. It was kinda silly at times and hard to connect to but it was pretty good overall! It had some very interesting themes. It kinda reminded me of The Tree of Life but not as good

Magic Mike - Actually a very interesting movie! But seeing it with gleefully screeching women made it a bit weird lol. If you're willing to tolerate a fair amount of dude ass, it's worth it. The three leads are all fantastic, which is weird because I've never liked any of them in anything except for, I dunno, Dazed and Confused. McConaughey in particular is fantastic.
It's also a much darker/subversive movie than has been advertised. The stripping scenes are fun, but have become so routine for the characters that they feel nothing for it. It's all very detached, because they find no more pleasure in it. The ending |
was incredibly surprising. I expected there to be some follow-up on Adam/The Kid's future, but just ending where it did was immensely bleak. |
I recommend it! (: | |

What is the ratio of male ass to hanged dong in the film? I have seen a lot of people saying it's good but... I just don't know.

It's mostly just ass. The only penis in the film is a joke, and once you notice it, it's lol.

I watched the Big Lebowski for the first time and was very impressed. This was a while back, I don't watch movies as often as I'd like.

I watched Shutter Island again last night. Still love that movie and think it's very well done. I think one ending clearly bests the other but it's always interesting to be able to talk about two dimensions of a movie... | "They come. They fight. They corrupt. They destroy. It always ends the same." |

I've had that on my DVD shelf for months. Might give it a watch. Never gotten around to it yet.

You should! (:
Ted - Oh men, this was hilarious. Its humor is obviously very MACFARLANE-y, but because he's clearly invested in the material (about a constantly high, crude teddy bear ofc), it lacks the DRAB monotony that plagues most of the shows in which he's involved. This is pop culture references and shock humor to the extreme pretty much, but I was laughing the whole time.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - Was expecting this to be a lot more silly/cheeky. It actually took the premise (Laid out bare with the title) totally seriously, and the screenplay is actually structured more like a biopic than a stupid action movie. But it is incredibly stupid still lol. There are a lot of historical JOAX and full-circle moments that are way too dumb (AND AWESOME) to be taken seriously. Also, the fight scenes are great. I've heard a few complaints about them feeling same-y, but because there was always context, and each action scene introduced something new to the concept, it was very involving.
