I thought everything up until this episode was somewhat lackluster tbh. This was my favorite of the season without a doubt

Did not care for the Ironborn stuff. Very rushed and meh.
But the whole trial was amazing. Perfect.

Technically it wouldn't be Myrcella, since the laws do not prohibit women to rule the Iron Throne, soo it'd TECHNICALLY then fall to Stannis, but since he's the enemy, I guess it'd be up for grabs to the next closest Baratheon, really it's a fractured line though as of now. |
Doesn't Myrcella fall next in line since she's under Dornish laws now? I thought I read that somewhere |
Dornish laws yes, but not Iron Throne laws so try as they might they would have to go to war for her to be on the Throne.

@Zersch. The entire trial full of cameo witnesses reminded me of the Seinfeld finale

Tyrion was awesome in that. Yara reading that letter was pretty good aswell, even if the following scenes where a bit of a let down.
Good to see my pal Salador again, its been way too long since he appeared last. Hopefully more to follow.
Dany and her titles made me lol.
That Varys and Oberyn scene was pretty good I thought. Some interesting stuff. Oberyn becomes more interesting by the second.
Tywin cant be that naive to think Tyrion actually did this? Is he so blind in his hatred? I feel he has some masterplan and will find out everyone who did this and murder them all.
I feel like they are going to pit The Mountain and Oberyn to face off somewhere in this season considering they have been talking a lot about how sad Oberyn is.This duel seems like the perfect place. Tywin will pick the Mountain to fight (which seems like a very likely choice, he wont pick a Lannister or a Tyrell and that prick Merryn(?) is horrible everyone says) which will have Oberyn volunteer to fight for Tyrion? I doubt Tyrion will pick Jaime seeing his situation of late and if the Mountain is fighting Oberyn will probably be begging to take a shot at him. Oberyn wants to kill him so bad, probably doesnt want to kill him unlawfully and possibly face charges, a duel seems like a good place.

I got the impression Tywin had anticipated Jamie offering to renounce his vows to the kings guard to save Tyrion, which is why he went along with the trial. Though that would take a lot of hindsight.
Either way, I think Tyrion really would have been shown mercy and sent to the watch had he pleaded guilty. Jamie offering to go back to Casterly Rock was too good a deal to squander.

The Good: The trial. Lots and lots of fun. Got to see my girl Shae! I am digging the Red Viper too.
The Bad: The rescue for Theon. Seemed kind of dumb, I think it was the shows way of reminding us that Yara/Asha still exists. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

The rushed rescue scene was worth it for the bathing scene afterwards. Ramsay is the most twisted person in Westeros IMO, even worse than Joff. And him wanting Theon to pretend to be himself in order to infiltrate is pretty great. Also the actor who plays Theon was probably at his best

|

I thought Ramsay was pretty nice in that scene. He let Theon have a bath. Ramsay is a first class act. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

The part where Ramsay glances down at Theon's crotch with glee when he's undressing was so sadistic. Ramsay's definitely taken up Joffrey's mantle as the most fun to hate character
