The fourteen guests stood at Paul's open grave as Curtis began to fill it back in. They looked down the long path through the cemetery that they would have to trek through to get to the mansion.

Korr was first. "I'm leaving twenty candies. Everyone leave twenty." he said. With a gulp, he took three steps down the trail before he quickly vanished in the thick grey fog. The other thirteen stood silently for what felt like ages. They had lost all visibility of Korr and could do nothing but wait.

Suddenly, a voice broke the silence.

"I made it!"

It was Korr. They couldn't see him, but his voice carried with the wind. The rest sighed with relief.

"My turn XD" said Lamps. He clutched his bag of candies and set off down the path.

One by one, everyone took the trek alone. They each left a number of candies at the foot of various tombstones. Did they leave enough? Too much? Were they being lied to? Time would tell.

Rob was the last to arrive at the other side. He cut through the fog and saw the twelve waiting for him. "Wait...twelve plus me...who's missing?"

"AHHHH!!"

The scream was coming from within the fog. "What was that? Are they hurt?!"

The thirteen looked around and did a quick head count.

"Who is it?!" Natalie asked

Back in the fog, Boc stood next to Curtis, put his hands against the side of his mouth to project his voice, and screamed once more. His empty sack of candies sat on the ground next to him.

"Alright, that should be good!" Curtis said. "Hopefully they fell for it."

"lol. Can I go home now?" asked Carter.

"YUP! Just head back through the way we came in. The groundskeeper Jeffrey will open the gate up for you."

"You're..not gonna come with me?" asked Carter nervously

"This place isn't ACTUALLY haunted. I've got the whole place rigged with pop out spiders, fog machines, speakers, shit like that. It should be fun!" Curtis said.

Carter felt better. Calmly, he turned around and began to walk back towards the gate.

"Oh, and Curtis?" he said. Curtis turned back to look.

'"...#ridetilwedie" replied Carter as he vanished through the fog.

Carter calmly moved through the fog on his way back to the main gate. Now that he knew it was all just a hoax, he wasn't nearly as scared. The darkness and silence still creeped him out a bit, but beyond that he was calm.

He continued to walk down the path, but something stopped him. There was a figure in the middle of the path ahead. He inched a bit closer and realized what it was. A little girl.

The girl sat in the middle of the path wearing a blue dress. She was crying. Carter tried to take a closer look but her dark hair was covering her face.

"Uh...little girl?" he asked. "Do you need help?"

Suddenly the girl jumped up and ran off of the path, back into the cemetery. "Wait!" yelled Carter.

He chased after her and finally found her at the foot of an unmarked grave. Her back was turned to Carter as she continued to cry. Carter very slowly reached his hand out and moved it towards her shoulder. "...little girl..?"

WHOOOOOOOOOOSH

The girl vanished into a puff of thick fog and encompassed Boc. He screamed out, but it was too late. The fog grabbed him and prevented him from running. It surrounded him and knocked him onto the cold ground. Carter tried to crawl away quickly, but the fog wrapped around his ankle and yanked him across the ground. He was dragged down into the open grave and fell into the coffin. The coffin door quickly began to shut.

"NO NO NOOO!"

THUD

The coffin slammed closed tight. The mound of dirt on the side caved in and filled the hole up. The fog dispersed, and the little girls laughter quietly echoed throughout the cemetery. The once blank tombstone filled itself in.

'Here Lies Carter Jasinksi. He Rode. He Died.'

Curtis rejoined the group as Carter's second scream rang out. Everyone jumped. Curtis turned back and smiled. "Nice, way to sell it Carter!" he said under his breath.

"Well, it looks like we're down one already, and he leaves behind no candies to give to one of you at the end of this. How sad."

Curtis looked up at the enormous FE Manor.

"So...who wants to go in first?"
