Richard Jewell
I really enjoyed this movie. Worried though because I kinda identified with the portrayal of Richard.

Little Women
I barely paid attention to this because I was doing other stuff but the one point I did really hone in and pay attention, Bob Odenkirk returns home and is greeted happily by his family and I started cracking up because it felt like the opening to a Mr. Show skit he would have done, dressed in period appropriate attire and mutton chops.
10/10 perfect movie. | |

I saw a clip from Mr. Show for the first time recently. It was when his son returned from the war and kept knocking over the parents' thimble collection whenever he'd try to talk about the war. It was hilarious

The silent film reenactment of the story of him trying to tell his story at the end almost ended my life the first time I saw it. That skit goes on for so long but it's funny every time it happens.

But what’s the score

House of 1000 Corpses
I'm still a fan of this movie but I couldn't help but think about Mandy and more importantly the most biting and accurate review I'd ever read. Something like "Mandy is the movie that Rob Zombie has been trying and failing to make for his entire career." If Rob ever read that I have to think even he would have to sit back and be like "yeah, he's right."

Mysterious Skin
Found another movie to put on the "this movie was really good, but now I must focus on never thinking about it again" shelf along with Martyrs.

The Death of Dick Long 2019 - 5/10
This seems to be an attempt at “Fargo” in the south.
Starts out ok, has a few laughs, then the plot takes such an inexplicably bizarre turn it kills the movie.

Knives Out
This movie was pretty much perfect. Everyone was firing on all cylinders when they were on screen, it was fun throughout. And there wasn't just some random juke for the sake of it at the end to turn all the clues into red herrings. But above absolutely. everything else... Ana de Armas.

I've been alternating between Contagion and Return of the Living Dead for background noise when not actively watching something. Thanks to Ahoda's quarantine Plex.
I want to swap the soundtracks of the movies to keep things fresh. Give Contagion the whimsical punk rock and Return the apprehension engine dread stuff.
