Doctor Sleep - was weird, didn’t exactly know what to expect going in but thought it was pretty fun. No idea how faithful it is to any source material, hell I don’t think I even know how Kubrick’s Shining differs from the original book so I was ignorant to any additional mythology. It was a lot more fantastical than horror. Reminded me of like a cross between Stardust and Near Dark. The ending felt like fan service overkill with the return to the Overlook but I wasn’t bored at any point and it was a long movie.

Peanut Butter Falcon - 2019 7.5/10
Great story. Great Shia. Never got boring.
Blinded By The Light - 2019 7/10
Good story and interesting characters. Some silly moments that were fun and some serious moments that were real.

I want to watch that Peanut Butter Falcon movie just because it has old wrestlers in it.
Jake the Snake and Mick Foley iirc.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
This movie wrecked me, hard. I sat watching it this morning on the verge of tears like the entire time. Was prepared to be moved by Mr. Rogers but the story of the journalist sucker punched the shit out of me. It was way too familiar.

Sonic was actually.... quite good! Just like the Pokemon movie, if you go in expecting a masterpiece, you're obviously not going to like it very much. But it was fun and littered with a ton of dead on references. Really makes you wonder how they fucked the original design so much when they got so much other things correct. |

Dark Water(s?). I love Ruffalo and enjoyed this for the most part. The farmers voice was cracking me up though. It sounded like he was doing a mix of Quint from Jaws and Karl from Slingblade. Kept waiting for him to monologue.
And it happened eventually.

Annabelle Go Home or whatever.
I can’t see shit in this movie, it’s too dark. I don’t know if it was good or bad.
But I have my suspicions and they lean sharply in one direction over the other.

Just watched the Jumanji remake (first one with the rock) saw it in theaters the first time and just saw it a second time. Still funny. Second one was just as funny in theaters. | Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil...

Mandy
I tried to watch this several times before and I don’t know why but I just couldn’t make it through that first part. Which is weird because I’ve definitely watched worse and more boring openings to movies. But I stayed attentive and pushed through it this time and it was more than worth it. This movie was fucking insane. I ordered the score on vinyl as soon as it ended.
