It's ok. definitely trying to be like john wick. Script and story was a mess and tried really hard to leave room for a sequel. I can definitely see why the studio went under from this failure

Jay And Silent Bob Reboot

Blah. If you like them you'll like the movie but it's nothing special. Lots of cameos as always. Good background movie if you just want some noise.

1917 as well

a wee bit disappointed tbh! I definitely enjoyed it but I think I was a bit too hyped for it. It was about what I expected when I first saw the trailer/heard that Deakins was shooting this as a faux "oner" - a great theater experience held together by a couple decent characters that you only somewhat care about/connect with

But boy did it look great. Especially when it transitions into night in that town, OOF. Wish they didn't spoil the money shot (Schofield weaving between artillery strikes) in the trailer but o well

No idea why they settled on 1917 for the name tbh! Out of all the war movies to just name after the year, this one seems the least likely cuz it had such a relatively small focus. ODD!

It was in 1917 because the directors grandfather fought in WW I and would tell him stories all the time. This story was based on part of one of them. So the movie isnt based on a true event but a story base on an idea of the war. There's also good 10 minute YouTube videos out there you can watch on how the filmed and directed the movie. Also on the background if the story. Highly recommended you check it out as they are up your ally

I recorded Neighbors 2 on the DVR last night. I had seen the last 20 minutes of the film before and that was it. Anyway, the listing on the tv guide was apparently wrong because what I got was a Vince Vaughn movie called Unfinished Business.

I would never have chosen to watch this film, I even contemplated just deleting within the first minute when I realized it was not the I was expecting. But I didn't. I watched the whole thing. I wasn't doing anything special today anyway. It was the perfect day to spend watching films and not shoveling snow.

I'm not sure I even liked it, but parts of it were funny. Dave Franco was in it, so at least the tv guide got that part right. His character Mike Pancake was probably the best part of the film, but overall it was just okay. There were more miniature golf courses in the film than I expected to see. I'm glad they had Vaughn's character having to handle family stuff as well while he was away from them, but I wouldn't watch it again.

And that is my review of a movie I didn't intend to watch at all.

Kids have been watching movie called Shark Boy and Lava girl nonstop this week. It's one if the worst pieces of film ever. It stars a 10 year old Taylor lautner with others stars like George Lopez and David Arquette

My god is it trash

Lol I remember this. My kids loved it too. They wore it out and would run around the house pretending to be in the movie. I don’t remember it being as bad as you but at that point I was just glad to be past the wiggles.

Dr. Sleep 2019 - 8/10

This is the sequel to the Shining. I was actually impressed with this, thought the story was quite good. The acting was good enough and it wasn’t terribly predictable. Would recommend.

I think I have the book. Your post just reminded me. I should look for it. I love The Shining though, so I would see this film.

I actually don't have the book. I only have The Shining, which I haven't read yet.

I agree, my expectations were pretty low.

The only thing I hated was the lack of an obvious cameo from a certain legend.
