I nominated Other People for FE Watches awhile ago and nobody voted for it

Well everyone missed out! You should still watch it.

Marriage Story

It was almost boring, but only almost since if it was I would have felt something while watching this movie.

The Standoff at Sparrow Creek - A twisty-enough, fun-enough, good looking-enough thriller that I liked enough. But nothing super special

Child's Play remake - Didn't dig it! Heard it was a fun ole time for what it was so I went in with that mindset and...ehhh! Didn't really do it for me. I liked the idea of making Chucky very modern and digital and thought they could've had way more fun with that and done even more creative kills. I did like the dick boyfriend's death. Hated the main child actor. "The cat scratched me and it hurt like HELL!" or "I don't give a damn!". No one talks like this ever, I hate the way bad writers use hell or damn or damn it, it makes me cringe so hard. Personal GRIPE! Also cringey - the other kids. The two friends he makes were awful and that fourth kid joining their posse at the end was so bad. I just thought the whole thing was more embarrassing than it was fun

American Factory - Great documentary about a Chinese billionaire opening an auto-glass factory in rust belt Ohio. It's all about the culture cash between the Chinese workers/owners and the blue collar American workers/managers. Visually it's really great

Finally watched The Last Black Man in San Francisco. I felt like I was on the verge of crying throughout the entire movie and then finally did as soon as it ended. Incredibly heartbreaking, but so well done. The actor who plays Mont is amazing. Really cool to see Daniel Glover in this, too. He’s an SF native—he was my commencement speaker when I graduated from USF. Our school gave him an honorary degree and he said USF was one of the stops on his paper route when he was a kid. It was a nice tribute to the city to cast him in this.

6 Underground - Netflix movie.

Some pretty cool car chase scenes and penthouse views. But it’s basically Mission Impossible for 12 year olds. Hilariously ridiculous. A few good laughs.

Ryan Reynolds cash grab.

I give it a 4/10.

The Peanut Butter Falcon

It was surprisingly a very good flick. 90 minutes of pure heaven. They did a great job with a lead that had downs and Shia did a great job going off his lead in many scenes. I recommend if the premise seems interesting to you.

Ad Astra

Could've been great. Could've been kinda bad. In the end it dodged both! Was almost a 6/10 but bumped it up to a 7 for Pitt, he killed it

Script could've been TIGHTENED UP a bit for sure. And I feel like there were maybe 20 minutes that could've been cut. Also wasn't marketed super appropriately from what I remember, it's a much different movie than I thought it was gonna be. They did themselves a DISSERVICE! I liked what it was going for more than I liked what I thought it'd be tho, but it didn't quite reach the heights it could've. An interesting character study nonetheless

It was worth a watch but I'll forget about it in T-minus 4 days

Cats.

Unfortunately.

The best way to describe it is with that review of “this movie feels like a prank but I’m not sure who it is on.” Ian was the only high point and the only other high point was surprisingly Taylor’s Macavity?? But even still it was a disaster through and through. The CGI was one of the worst I’ve ever seen and I’m really unsure why they’re even bothering fixing some of it. It’s practically unsalvageable.
