yeah, that's annoying. I have a few series that I loved enough to buy on disc even though they never really ended. Tru Calling and Threshold spring to mind.
Finished Please Like Me. Definitely a must watch for those who like dramas with very fun and funny characters that deal with some mental health and LGBT issues.
I don't where the Travel & Escape channel is available (probably only Canada) but it's playing Buffy the Vampire Slayer in glorious high def right now, and I could barely contain my excitement! I have the series on dvd and have watched the entire thing at least 10 times, but I couldn't take my eyes off of it. It's so different, it feels like it's brand new. Some of the special effects and things I'm sure will look silly with a clearer picture, but I'm amazed.
They've never released anything other than regular dvds because I read it wasn't possible/wouldn't look good with the way they filmed it, etc. But whatever was done to the series to air on a high-def station is magnificent! And then I couldn't get over the fact this month is the 20th anniversary of the year it started on tv...
I didn't watch enough to see any goofy errors or weirdly cropped scenes. I just reacted. :P But I will start to watch it all over again. Seems appropriate on the 20th anniversary.
Starting watching that Hunted show from CBS (avoided the thread incase of possible spoilers) but it's really really good. I even lost a couple hours of sleep because I could not stop watching it after work.
