JW3 was dope. That antique shop knife fight at the beginning is one of my favorite movie fights

28 Days Later
Boyle/Garland sure know how to make a great 2/3 of a movie. Although the downturn in this wasn't nearly as steep as Sunshine's. Also the kid actor was p bad and the digital filming looked reeeal rough
Other than thaaat good stuff tho! TWD/WWZ/etc owe so much to this

the scene at the military blockade was def the peak of the movie, I kinda feel like that's where it should've ended tbh and just flesh out the group's journey before that a bit more. Frank telling his daughter to stay away/he loves her as he drifts away was p heartwrenching. And my jaw actually dropped when it was revealed the military were RIGHT THERE the whole time, so tragic |

Drive. Was going to suggest it for FE Watches until I saw everyone had pretty much already seen it (: I only really know this movie as the inspiration behind Hotline Miami and always wanted to see it because of that. And god do I see the comparison from the style, soundtrack, violence and protagonist.
Great fucking movie by the way. And speaking of THAT SOUNDTRACK! I've been on an electric kick for awhile so hearing Nightcall and Under Your Spell pretty much one after the other was really cool. I realize now both songs are hugely popular because of this movie but I had only known them from being on random retrowave playlists on Spotify. |

Its one of my favorite movie soundtracks
Tick of the Clock is one of my favorite night driving songs. Also a perfect soundtrack while cruising around at night in GTA V

Bridge on the River Kwai
liked it a lot, this was the first non-Obi role I've seen Guinness in and he was so good, def my fav character. Very slow-paced but I think that worked to its advantage, the finale made all that build-up worth it for sure. And what a GORGEOUS looking movie, hard to believe it's as old as it is

Took kids to see Angry Birds 2 yesterday. Wasn't horrible, but wasn't good. Decent kids flick to waste 90 minutes. |

I watched...SANJURO!
Probably still prefer Yojimbo, but this was still a lot of fun. Everyone (except for Sanjuro) are pretty stupid! Couldn't believe all the shit they were doing. YIKES.
Loved the closet captive. Also the duel at the end.

Seconds
this was a TRIP! A lot funnier than I thought it'd be, but it also had its share of both horror and poignancy. Those opening credits and a lot of the shot choices throughout were super unsettling and creative. I do wish they would've explored his second life a little deeper tho, a lot of that part did feel pretty surface level unfortunately
