I highly doubt it'd happen, but I'd love to have an in-between the GoT seasons kind of series that focused on the historical background stuff. Like "Oh, it's time for the History of Stuff with Maester whatever, kids! Today we're going to learn about how the Dance of Dragons went down! Won't that be fun? Not for Rhaenyra Targaryen!" The world-building stuff in ASoIaF is fun.
I found this on tumblr and I felt it needed to be posted here.
It was posted with:
"All hail King Joffrey Baratheon, First of His Name, King of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm"
I think the world building is the thing that the show loses out on the most tbh. There's such an elaborate mythology to everything, they can't do it justice.

Wonder if they would do that once the TV series catches up to the book series?

The TV show should do a prequel series when this is all over.
Agreed. There's ample material.
Anyway friends I finished Storm of Swords today. Will post spoiler tagged thoughts later since there are quite a few! Don't click them if you do not want shit spoiled. It will ruin it for you forever and it's clearly marked so don't be an idiot Vernon.
