And I definitely found my interest waning at times - it didn't need to be 2 hours. It was like a big extended episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark. Gyllenhaal was great but it didn't land for me all the way. It was boring and sort of goofy. I give it a 3

Definitely goofy, and yeah I was bored at points.

I gave it the same on Letterboxd... out of five. Which seems like a high score given the content of my review. I'm never satisfied with whatever I rate a movie.

I recently saw that Perfect Blue is finally getting a US bluray release and preordered it on Amazon. Then I got to looking at my movie collection. I sold 99% of what I had, and now have what might be the weirdest grouping of blurays. All I held onto:

The Wrestler, Place Beyond the Pines, Love Actually, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight, Dog Soldiers, Ninja Scroll, My Neighbor Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, Paprika, and Cowboy Bebop the full series.

Watched an older movie called Big Fish yesterday. It was clever and I really enjoyed it.

I don't trust anyone that doesn't love that movie.

It's a known fact that you can't watch Big Fish without crying.
