that and the Crazy 88 fight were the two scenes I distinctly remembered watching before so it was a bit spoiled, but yeah I still really liked that one. Surprising how much he got out of an actor who pretty much only did B movies other than that, he stole pretty much all his scenes
Watched The Death of Stalin:A Comedy of Terrors. Enjoyed this quite a bit, especially seeing the historical context of the same time period and characters from Arkangel. It is a who's who of Brit actors and Steve Buscemi and it is kind of funny that you have all the Brit accents for Russians, but still worth watching.
Watched Mary Shelley and it was meh. It took some severe liberties with some parts of their life stories and that was offputting, especially since you know some folks will take that as "fact".
How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat?
I liked the concept and it wasn't a bad movie but it was weird. And I don't mean quirky, though it was. But it felt like it was shot like a TV show or something. And I definitely found my interest waning at times - it didn't need to be 2 hours. It was like a big extended episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark.
Gyllenhaal was great but it didn't land for me all the way.
