watched the new Fyre documentary on Netflix, good stuff. I was a bit skeptical going in that it'd be able to bring too much more to light than what has already been on social media for a while but there were way more interesting angles to it than I thought, mostly all the stuff about Billy McFarland who's apparently like a poor man's Jordan Belfort

The same director behind this also made Jim & Andy, definitely two of the most purely entertaining documentaries I've seen in a while

Just watched it

Good god. What a fucking disaster that whole thing was. It was almost overwhelming watching them get further and further over their heads

McFarland is such a weasel of a person. He’s got some serious issues

I knew the surface level stuff about how bad the whole thing was but this was an interesting watch for sure

Peppermint 5/10

Very predictable, very unbelievable, very mediocre.
And very little acting.

I watched Mission Impossible - Fallout

It was pretty good. Then I decided to watch Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation. idk why I'm going backwards but I really like this series.

I really love Tom Cruise as an actor even though I think he's a "wacky" person.

I've said it before but I can't stand Tom Cruise's acting- he basically plays Tom Cruise every time. Simon Pegg almost makes MI watchable. Almost.

FU - despite that he's an irl freak, he's great in movies!

(JK not really FU Vlady :) )

Clicked on it, realized it was a documentary, turned it off.

Found a live version of Talking Heads "This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)" on youtube that had Sean Penn in a wig and makeup, so the wife and I got intrigued (see last song I listened to thread for video). It was apparently a shot from a movie also named "This Must Be the Place".

The description of the movie says Sean Penn is playing a former 80s rock star who ends up continuing his dead father's Nazi hunting. Clearly, I had to watch this movie based on this description alone, no matter how good or bad it is. We watched it and it was actually a decent film- has a lot of the weirdness of a Lynch film without being as bad as the recent Twin Peaks season was.

Last movie I sort of watched was Unbreakable. I missed a bit near the end, but I got the gist of it. And I had read some of the plot before the movie finished anyway. :P

I will eventually watch Split and Glass. Maybe in another 10-15 years.

The Bill Murray Stories : Life Lessons Learned from a Mythical Man

I Love Bill Murray. He’s one of the very few celebrities I hold up. So this was a special treat for me. It’s a mini documentary on the legend that has become Bill Murray just showing up at random times in people’s lives and being a normal dude. He’s been doing this for about 20 years now. And I had heard a lot about this over the years. It’s almost like Bigfoot sightings. Lol. He’s a genuine guy.

I gave it a 7/10. It’s an hour and ten minutes. Pretty cool.

Abducted in Plain Sight. True crime doc about a pedophile who gets very close with a family so he can prey on their daughter

Good.........GOD

You would not believe the wild shit that goes down in this one. It almost felt like a parody sketch at times, it was ridiculous
