Do you think it would be detrimental to town to say who you think it is? It could be a pretty good way to prove yourself without giving away any details of your role.

Well if I'd say it then mafia should be able to piece together someone else's role, and my own.

I'm not opposed. If you're town, I think you're a valuable town member so I'd rather not lynch you. And even if you don't get lynched, I think you're a likely vig target. So it's probably the right time.
