You know, I think the first Killers album has some really solid songs on it. And then I never listened to anything else they ever did. I don't know if it's worth it.
Okay but seriously, that does sound really good. My only question is: why do you listen to your music on YouTube? I can't imagine you don't own Tool's discography in some form or another.
I've got them all on CD. All of my CDs are boxed up in another room and I really don't feel like digging through all of them to find the ones I want to rip to this computer. Basically I'm lazy and it's more convenient to have a tab open with Youtube where I can bounce between whatever I want to listen to.
If you ain't on that Tidal Wave shit, you drownin' underneath it.
Also, a much more minor thing, but sometimes listening on Youtube will lead to bands I've not heard of before that I wind up enjoying through the suggested videos or very, very rarely the comments. Whereas my own playlist would just be a big echo chamber. A pleasant one, but one nonetheless.
I can actually understand that last point about finding new artists, I suppose. But I can't remember the last time I took any Youtube comments seriously. Have you ever considered Spotify? It's pretty much music streaming with a pretty big selection as well as artist recommendations. Since it's free it inevitably has advertisements but they're less frequent than if I was listening to exclusively music on Youtube.
