Snake Eyes

I watched this too. Both of these were on Shudder for whatever reason. I guess they host campy horror movies and Nicolas Cage movies. Actually, that kind of makes a lot of sense.

Rick Santoro could be a contender for one of my favorite Cage characters. His portrayal of a flamboyantly sleazy local cop is better than the rest of the movie.

Z you know I am an avid Cage fan so I feel ashamed I have not seen 8mm. I feel I need to rectify this now.

La La Land

V charming. I guess I can see why it didn't work for people but to me it's a hard movie to hate. Both leads were perfect. The musical/dance numbers didn't actually win me over really, it was pretty much everything between that I loved (I did like City of Stars tho). Some of the sequences were so ridiculously well put together, Damien Chazelle is crazy talented. I really loved the finale and the Seb's sign reveal

Still glad Whiplash won Best Picture but this didn't disappoint like I feared it might

Eighth Grade

Finally. What a gem, I liked it a lot. It was exactly what I expected in the best way. Main actress was perfectly cast and Bo Burnham did great, I'M PROUD OF HIM. Also lets give it up for that DAD! What a dad

I saw this. I thought it was good... the dad was really great, though.

Fantastic Beasts 2

I liked it. Was a bit slow around the middle, but I really enjoyed the latter parts of the movie.

The Greatest Showman.

Was not my choice as I loathe musicals. The only musicals I approve of are Grease, which is worth it for ONJ in her sewn on pants at the end and The best little whorehouse in Texas, because well it’s just funny as hell at times.

This was ok I guess. HJ was very good and the cast was quite good overall. If you like musicals I would think most would really like this.

However if you can YouTube some of the production videos, where HJ and the cast are doing the singing rehearsals, they are better than the movie watching HJ and the actors have so much fun.

Just watched the climax of Whiplash/First Man/La La Land in a row. Chazelle knows how to end a movie, they're all so good. Whiplash>La La Land>First Man for endings...and the movies altogether

Wife is making me watch Crazy Rich Asians. Someone kill me

My Asian coworker loved it and urged me to see it, he even offered to give me free tickets to see it.

I said I would if he also paid me.
