Seven

Watched this with someone who had never seen it before, or knew anything about the twist (edit: more of a reveal than a twist, I suppose). Even if that hadn't been the context of this viewing... goddamn, it's such a good movie and it had been so long since I saw it again I would have enjoyed it regardless.

Solo

Didn't wind up paying a lot of attention to this. I still have it rented from Redbox so will probably watch it again before returning. The very last 20 minutes of the movie definitely snagged my attention, albeit a bit too late at that point.

I watched Mistress America because it was almost going to be my FE Watches pick but lost to The Impossible (you should all see that if you haven't). I enjoyed it but it wasn't as good as I was expecting.

I loved it so much! I'd see it again, too. Also love the soundtrack.

We watched Repo: The Genetic Opera. It was tedious in points but overall was kind of fun. Paris Hilton really stretched those acting chops playing a rich, spoiled chick.

Train to Busan

had high expectations but wasn't that into it? Part of that was I was expecting a different kind of movie I guess, all I knew going in was the general premise of a dad and his daughter trying to navigate their way through a zombie apocalypse and was expecting more of a dark/gritty Last of Us-style zombie story. But the movie really was more of a slightly cheesy summer blockbuster type thriller. It was aight

The little girl was good and some of the action scenes were well-directed, those were the biggest pluses. The zombies having different rules/abilities based on the plot needs was kinda annoying and took me out of it a few times

Never Goin Back

Fun movie from a24, enjoyed it a lot. Great soundtrack and really entertaining editing at times. And Kyle Mooney is in it and he’s hilarious as always

FOr our "scary" halloween movie, we watched hereditary. Acting was Ok. Premise sucked. It lacked any plot or character development. I give it no points, and may god have mercy on its' soul..

Just saw The Hate U Give. Really, really powerful. I cried a lot and got chills a lot. Fantastic movie.
