Well maybe, but then we would have to assume that they correctly guessed which one of them was going to be scanned and deflected it to Miko. That would be pretty fortunate! Anyway, I don't think we should be considering this. If we don't lynch Miko now and he is lying, the vig may feel the need to claim (bad idea by the way, whoever you are!). That, or they might take a shot at Miko.

If the real vig counter-claimed right now, less than an hour to the deadline, with nobody even within 10 votes of Miko, that'd be the stupidest play, pretty much ever.

What I meant was that if we took Miko at his word and unlynched today, and he is bullshitting us, the actual vig might counterclaim tomorrow, if they don't take a shot at him during the night.

The only sensible course of action is to see this lynch through, in which case talking about his claim is pointless.
