Definitely
R Lee Emery was damn near a clone of my TI when I went thru basic training. Appearance, language, body language everything. Crazy weird.
I don’t know how old Vladys kids are, hopefully old enough to not have PTSD from it.

I watched "Brawl in Cell Block 99" the other night. It was solid. Not what I was expecting at all, but it was quite the performance by Vince Vaughn.

John Wick is so good

Saw Eighth Grade today!
|
I didn't love it!! It just felt like there was no over-arching story and the jokes were awkward but very one-note until the very end with the chicken nugget scene. A few good points here and there for the movie but overall I wasn't thoroughly entertained. Most of the laughs I got were from the two boy characters respectively. I thought the acting was good but it just didn't click. I think Bo is very funny but this movie felt like it was his first one which is okay!! I just didn't feel like it had a great beginning, middle, and end. And the moments that happened didn't seem to really build on each other too much.
BUT it was still enjoyable and I'm not mad I saw it. I just felt like it could have been more than just an hour and a half of watching a girl be awkward. |

tbh the fact that it didn't have a traditional story is one of the things I really liked about it. It felt way more honest than just about any coming of age movie I've seen mostly because it didn't try to package things nicely or make the story anything extraordinary, and was content to be a slice of a more typical life. The whole 'payoff' was just the fact that she realized that life's gonna get better/less of a social nightmare (even if it's just a glimpse of hope)
all of which I can def see not being for everyone but idk I dug it |

I finally watched Batman vs. Superman. I liked it more than I thought I would. It still doesn't compare to the MCU.

Watched Wonder last night. Was a good movie, but I hate watching those types of movies. I know growing up I was one of those asshole kids and it's tough to watch. |

We watched Angel Heart for the first time in a long time last night. Still a good film, if a bit predictable. Seeing what Mickey Rourke used to look like before he fucked up his face is always fun. Also Lisa Bonet young totally smacks of Zoe Kravitz- Zoe took a lot from her mom. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |
