I thought there was a thread for this somewhere but I saw the full trailer for the Shazam movie and that looks awful. Totally awful. | Rodney is a great guy. Oops, nevermind he's a terrible human being.
He likes his sandwiches to be Turkey and Swiss. Triangle cut. Let vern have his crust. Poison the part Rodney eats.

For a Few Dollars More
p great, nice to finally complete the trilogy. Liked it more than Fistful but less than GBU
Weird seeing the villain from the first play a different villain in the second and the hero from the second play the villain in the third. But it worked, both are great. The villain here was fairly sadistic at times and Van Cleef was badass (Clint too)
Really loved the ending. The second pocketwatch starting to play and that twist reveal was fun. Then the music kicking in when Clint hands him his gun to make it a fair fight. "NOW we start". I love it. Their partnership was weird to see after GBU but it made this movie
Perfect music too obviously

How it Ends. 2018. I think it’s a Netflix Original. I gave it a 3/10.
The wife picked this one. The trailer looked ok and it has Forrest Whitaker so I was like Sure. But I warned the wife that ALL of these apocalyptic type movies end the same ....... very disappointing.
This was no different.
Pretty decent movie til the ending. Which was non existent. I think the last 5 minutes were written by the Lost writers. |
My girlfriend and her brother both screamed "Is that it?" at the ending.
I was disappointed in the whole thing.
And btw makes me remember this. All these stories where the person travels miles and miles over wastelands to reach a loved one..i mean it sounds great and we'd all like to think we'd do it, but the reality is they should have been killed along the way and then what good would that do?
I know you can't make a movie where the hero sits and home and hopes everything goes ok but still.
When the tornadoes hit Bama years back and i had no electricity or gas and was traveling to stores with generators to charge up my phone for the day, I finally got ahold of my dad who was only 1.5 hours away and totally safe. He asked if he should come get me. MY response
"No. We have no power and little gas. Most likely you'd be stranded here."
And that's the truth. |
I remember that week with no electricity very well. Was a bit surreal and a bit of a wake up call.

Saw Jurassic World last weekend.
Terrible terrible movie. I'm sure Curtis already posted but the movie was so bad it's not worth me going back and finding the post.
I always think it's funny when 2 people get together in a movie then the sequel has to break them back up so they can find that romantic tension again for the second movie. Oh wait i hate that idea.
Save money and just go back and watch The first one again. And by that i mean World or Park, either of those are much better. |
I told you that it was awful and don’t go see it. |

Watched something called the package.
Really dumb, really gross, but funny in small parts.

I watched Emelie the other day. It was.. weird and I didn't really pay all that much attention to it cause it kept weirding me out. It had more cringe moments than it had creepy ones.

Pure sci-fi gory fun. A Black Mirror like story that isn't totallyyyy unique but the way it was done felt original. I loved the direction of the fight sequences, could've used a couple more. Some of the quick moments of gore were shocking and fantastic and there was good dark humor here and there

Akira - wasn’t for me! Great animation though
O Brother Where Art Thou - p solid but lower end Coen Brothers for me for sure. I did love George Clooney in it, the Coens bring out something hilarious in him

You didn't like Akira? Which audio did you do? The original english dub was much better than the redone one and changes the tone of some of the things. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

And no it didn’t really do it for me at all. I don’t exactly have many specific complaints, I was just mostly disinterested throughout it. Found it very hard to get into or care about. A couple of good sequences tho and the animation was really cool

Oh shit- the original dub is so awesome, though. You miss classic lines in there that get lost when you read them, like
"Gentlemen, we're going to the Olympics!"
But the story itself is awesome and a much shortened version of a 36 or 37 issue manga. You have cyberpunk biker gangs, government experimentation, messiah complexes, and Tetsuo creating a new universe. What's more to want?
And a good dub can be fantastic- the Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop folks are now iconic in those roles. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

The Cowboy Bebop dub is great, the show itself is overrated IMO, it's good but that's it.
The Steins;Gate dub is supposedly great too, it localizes references and shit.
