Puppet Master here very likely chooses one player and then forces them to use their role on a second player. They wouldn't know what the role does
Herm was a 3x redirector. He would choose a player and send whatever was being done to that player to a second player instead
So they're actually different. I GUESS both could be Town but that doesn't seem as likely to me. At the same time we haven't seen a single scummy example of a night action redirection yet | |

whenever i have seen puppet master on FE, this is not how it works. especially since buffy's hidden text heavily implies that it's the role i described, not this one. | | |
