Silly title (: .Very silly plot and dialogue and voice overs. The non stop action was pretty awesome though

Wizards (1977).
It's animated. It's about wizards. Earth is fucked up. I'd never heard of it until I came across it just now and had to look it up to learn what the hell I was watching. It is a cult classic and I can see why.

Falling Skies sucked so I started a new AMC show. Its called The Killing and I really liked the first episode. A couple of the scenes were really powerful but I read some reviews that it gets slow after a while.
As far as I know the whole show revolves around one case so I guess I could see why it would be slow.

I've been wanting to watch that, but I keep getting hung up on the fact that it gets worse as it goes. Kind of a bummer cause I heard the start is really promising. I may give it a shot

My mom likes The Killing, but I don't know if she is the best judge of television shows.

"Dem leaves."
I kind of liked that movie where the three people were stuck on a ski lift with some wolves terrorizing them. Frozen, I think it was. I was hoping for something similar in this. I guess it looked pretty good for a low budget movie, but that's all the acclaim I feel like giving it.
Every scene boiled down to "...and then... DOGS!!!" On the roof, on the wings of a sea skimmer in the middle of the water, jumping through passenger side car windows, jumping through bay windows... I guess I should have expected that.
Choice piece of dialogue: "How did the dogs even get on the plane? I once saw a dog balance a marshmallow on his nose"
Best scene: The ending when, spoiler alert, DOGS!!! attack out in the middle of the ocean.

go see CARLITO'S WAY god-dammit...it's a great movie..they don't make 'em like that anymore. | "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."

Star Trek Into Darkness - p cool! save for some unfortunate 9/11-truther shit and the overbearing love of it's a very entertaining action movie.

I saw Place Beyond the Pines. Pretty good!

I was shocked to see Luke die so early. Gosling did a really good job
The twist with the kids was pretty cool. I kinda think they should've went all-out and had Jason get revenge for his father though. The ending seemed like a bit of a cop-out to me. |

NOT BAD. I've never seen him in anything else but I thought he was a strong physical presence and his voice was great. He really sells an EMOTIONAL moment that could have been significantly worse.

I was almost certain that he would end up killing Bradley Cooper. So I was really surprised when he didn't, in a good way
The movie took so many strange twists that I didn't see coming. Luke's death first of all. Then smaller things. Like when the police officers took Bradley Cooper to the house. I just didn't expect the movie to start getting into stuff like that. I had no idea what the movie was about. I didn't even know Bradley Cooper was IN it, so when he suddenly appeared and I realized it was him and the story was handed off, that surprised me.
The scene where Ray Liota drives him out into the woods was so chilling. I really loved that movie |
