On my recent trip I watched these two movies on the plane:

Blade Runner 2049
So I wanted this movie to be really good. I'm a very big fantasy/sci-fi fan, and the cyberbunk/post-apocalyptic genre is interesting. I thought this was pretty good, but not great... which was a disappointment. I haven't seen the original movie, so at times I felt lost on the story and there weren't any big reveals that had be excited or shocked. In general I thought the environment/setting was great 10/10, but the story was not interesting at all for me.

Molly's Game
I didn't have the highest expectations going into this movie, since a lot of Poker/gambling movies tend to be dull. I've been playing online and live poker since I was around 16/17, so I still hope a good poker movie comes out one of these days... and this one was pretty good! I wasn't familiar with the story of Molly Bloom so I was excited throughout the plot/story, not knowing what would happen next. I think Idris Elba and Jessica Chastain did a great job acting, and definitely carried this movie. Would recommend even if you aren't a poker fan like me.

Agree totally on molly's game i tend to think it's underrated because not lot of people talk about it.
The two leads were great in it. Enjoyable movie.
Envious of the poker history btw love the game but i'm horrible at it

This Is Spinal Tap

p. funny. Would've been funnier if I came from that generation and saw it back then I'm sure but there were still some moments that made me laugh out loud. Lick My Love Pump was maybe my favorite quick moment

Fun seeing Michael McKean in a lead role, he's pretty great. Ed Begley Jr. is another great OH THAT GUY character actors so I was glad to see him credit so high but he ended up being just one of the many drummers who died (:

The classic 11 bit was good but a bit short/underwhelming from how I imagined it would be

Just read that the movie was mostly improvised which does make me appreciate it more

Watched ant man and the wasp. Pretty good and very enjoyable

Ant man i wanna see soon as well. Glad thatwas worth while.

Ant-Man somehow finds a way to be funny and feel good despite PRETTY low stakes. Like the main conflict in the movie is very thin and almost meaningless. But the actors carry it and the dialogue. Michael Pena (I think that's his name) steals any scene he's in. Very fun movie even if you're not into MCU or the superhero genre.

I have yet to see literally ANY Jurassic movies (even the OG) but I went to watch Fallen Kingdom on a whim. I ended up enjoying it a lot. Chris Pratt plays the somewhat douchey jock with a good heart well. Personally thought the little british girl was great. Both the main dinosaurs Blue and Gold (whatever his name was ) were great. Villain was generic and uninspiring but overall solid movie.

The drummers all dying was based on the fact that a lot of drummers from that era did keep dying, so that joke might have been lost in time. I still walk around saying "He choked on vomit. Not his vomit- we don't know whose it was. You can't dust for vomit."

Starting to find that your taste in movies seems to be more similar to mine than anyone else’s here. Which means I will definitely pay a bit more attention to your reviews, so keep em coming.
