That's not a true statement.

They may not have the tools to look at them but they definitely could look at them if they desired and had the right access route.

This is why you should never put anything in a PM that you want to keep secret. Or delete them after they have been read. Or don't give a shit. Any of those options work.

Porl probably, but the other admins I don't think so. I don't remember the NDIM forum I had for Kyoto SOng having a mechanism for me to view people's PMs, other than my own.

As I have commented to a few people separately, I see this as just Chickenshit GLBers Season 2. I think people take Darkus and Cat too seriously most of the time, mainly because they don;t turn off "troll mode" often. Kind of like chris, though they are way more subtle. Granted- I think the one time Cat freaked out and thought I was actually upset, not knowing I was just trolling him back. This lead to the Cat/Vlady lovefest that nobody should ever have had to witness. The Chickenshit GLBers reference goes twice- I see some of the same arguments again, like the "lack of assimilation". Sometimes assimilation works both ways- I know that FE has had to get used to some of the GLBers odd quirks and I'd like to think that some of us have brought something with us in addition to our weirdness. Except maybe Ahoda- he brings nothing but sadness and the smell of gravy.

Why is porl building a huge database of everyone's PMs?

If a MOD wanted to read PMs they could change the user's password and log in as them.

But why on earth would they care enough to do that?
