You're comparing the US to terrorist groups to justify them restricting your freedom. |
They didn’t restrict my freedom. They illegally recorded and data mined it |

Blue Jay. What a gem, totally improvised outside of an outline. Both leads are perfect, I think I'm in love with Sarah Paulson now

Guardians 2
Really liked it. They handled the characters perfectly. James Gunn should just handle the Avengers movies because he balanced shit so well here. I was a little eh on them all being split up as it started because I like the group dynamic but it worked
I find it hard to compare to the original because the first was just so fresh at the time so it has a huge advantage. I feel like if this movie came first then it would be considered better. You know???? I think I liked them both about equally
Drax remains my favorite. Every one of his lines lands and Bautista is pitch perfect in his delivery, who knew. Baby Groot>Groot, hands down. Loved the scene of him getting Yondu's fin. He was animated perfectly, every subtle move his body or eyes made was great. And Yondu stole a lot of the movie which made me really happy, liked him a lot in the first one and I love Michael Rooker
Nebula is so cringeworthy and nearly ruins every scene she's in
Both Guardians smoke every other Marvel movie easily

I haven't watched the first Guardians in a while but I think Vol 2 edges it out for me. Almost entirely cuz of Yondu's storyline
|
"He may have been your father, but he wasn't your daddy" :( :( :( |
The villain was also way better in 2 (even if he wasn't that amazing either)

Bottle Rocket
Gonna watch all of Wes Anderson's movies before I see Isle of Dogs. This was the fifth I've seen and least favorite but it wasn't bad. Owen Wilson was fun in it. Some of Anderson's signature styles start to poke through which is kinda cool to see. I'll watch Rushmore then Tenebaums next so it'll be fun to see how he develops that style since those were his first three

I went and saw deathwish. It was pretty good for an action movie, and everyone is a better actor than Charles Bronson, so the bar wasn't set very high with the original.

curtis, the tenebaums is LOL, looking forward to hearing your thoughts of it.
wes anderson meh....
watched ANNIHILATION. was good, really interesting I might say, good plot well played! | "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."
