Watched Logan Lucky and The Breaks over the past week. I Really enjoyed Logan Lucky. I used to love The Breaks but it's not as funny as it was 15 years ago, but still enjoyable. |

The Florida Project
Great. Everyone killed it - Dafoe, the mom, the little girl. If you've ever been to Florida you'll know that that's EXACTLY what the vibe is like around the parks, it was spot on
Should've been nominated for Best Picture. The FUCK outta here Darkest Hour!!!

Cabin Fever
The remake. What the fuck was the point of this? I liked the original. I know it's not great but it came out at about the right time for the humor to strike every correct chord with me. And the humor was strangely absent from this one. Or at least downplayed. But otherwise it was... a shot for shot remake? I don't get it. Shit.

Watched Wilson
Gut punch after gut punch but a good movie. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

lol this was so dumb. I didn't watch it but the fact that it exists is so dumb. And it doesn't have Shawn Hunter so it's so dumb

Watched the Assassin Next Door because it sounded like it would end up being a girl action flik (no, not *that* kind of girl action flik).
Ended up starting off depressing
|
because the "assassin" was a slave forced into prostitution in Israel by the Russian mob who tries to escape, gets the shit beat out of her, and watched her friend die. I found myself going "Um, when does the assassin part come?"
The mob offers to let her kill people to earn her freedom, she kills the first person, and then they get her in an apartment where the chick next door gets beat by her husband. She then apparently goes on a number of missions that you *NEVER SEE* because it focuses on her pining for her daughter and listening to the girl next door getting beat up.
For a short time, you think it's actually going to become a lesbian story but it ends up more Thelma and Louise instead.
I needed to watch a comedy palate cleanser afterwards.

I watched wonder woman. Had to do it in 2 sittings because it's about a day and a half long. The action and effects were really good. The acting was well done, what little of it there was.
The story kind of sucked. The characters were really shallow. Even the whole "holy shit, I'm a goddess" moment was glossed over in favor of more action.

I forgot to mention that Gal Gadot is amazing. Especially knowing she was pregnant for part of the filming.

I have a rational hatred for a few actors and won't watch their movies. |
kevin james is #1 'will not watch if he's in it' for me
I was wrong about Jamie he is a true visionary and I name him my successor |

I, Tonya
p good! I see why Janney got all the love. Her, Margot Robbie, and Stan too actually were all great. Probably the first time I've liked Sebastian Stan as an actor in something, despite his character being a garbage person. And the Shawn character was hilarious
Best scene was probably the sentencing, Robbie killlled it. That was really sad

I've seen snippets here and there but can't sit and watch it. It doesn't help I just see her as the female version of Superman (the big blue Boy Scout). I'll take a morally gray Batman anyday. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

Man on the Moon followed by Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond
MOTM was pretty entertaining but god, Jim & Andy was RIVETING. Really gives a new perspective on Carrey beyond how entertaining the behind the scenes shit was at face value
I kinda wanna do the same thing with Apocalypse Now (which I still somehow haven't seen) followed by Hearts of Darkness now
