I couldn't get into that at all because of the controls. They really irked me.

Finally knuckled under and bought myself a copy of Dead Island. I debated whether not to buy it for a ridiculous amount of time, then found it brand new for twenty bucks (ostensibly because the sequel just got released).

I may or may not attempt to regale you with interesting tales of what is sure to be an adventure fraught with me going "WAGH! How did I wind up dying from THAT?" and so on and so forth.

Dead Island is pretty fun, ive been meaning to finish it and will get to that when finals are over

I liked the controls of everything but the harp.

but yeah Fi is pretty annoying, she comes across as a navi for people who dont know how to play video games. the fact that she pops up to warn you when you're close to death is pretty lol.

I've been playing Neverwinter recently, a "free2p" MMO which is in open beta

It's pretty fun.

Oh my god, the controls of the harp are HORRIBLE! And while the rest of the controls are bearable.... they get incredibly annoying when facing these fuckers

Also the reason Fi is so much worse than Navi is that Fi will LITERALLY interrupt something you're doing if she finds it so important; Navi you can usually ignore
Please ask me on October 1st if they woke me up. I've literally never heard it before and I'm definitely not tired of it.

I finally started L.A. Noire and I love it, but I forgot how terrible I am at driving with a keyboard (don't give me that "just get a controller!" shit cuz unless you got some controller money to give me, it ain't happening). I'm so glad there's the option to let your partner drive.

I enjoyed L.A. Noire's story, but there was a severe lack of anything to do in that game outside of the main missions.

There is stuff beside the main missions.,..and it's a lot tbh. Find all the landmarks, 50 movie reels, solve random cimes on the street, the badge pursuit and vehicle unlocks etc. You can put hours into that, going for the 100 %. Though it's all about the story/missions. I hope to see that facial motion capturing technology come back into the spotlight at some point.

edit: btw I installed Metro Last Light....heard that it's a legit successor to the 1st title. Gotta check it out soon

I should have said "a severe lack of engaging/entertaining stuff to do." But as you said, the story was the important thing.

It is one of the few games I've ever 100%'d, but somehow I don't even remember the random street crimes or 'badge pursuit.'

I do remember the vehicle shit because when it got down to me needing like one or two cars it took forever to find them.

I tried to play the Sims 3 with all of the expansion packs on my fairly decent computer and managed to play for 25 whole minutes! Then I tried it with the graphics settings at medium to the point where the grass was just green fields of solid green and it lasted a whole 35 minutes!!!

Going to uninstall all the shitty packs today (read: most of them)

yeah I know what you mean, it's a lot of exploring rather than playing but there's somethign to it aswell that I can digg a lot. Just drive around town, looking around the corners, being in the world, immersive and all..I don't know. But ya nahmean...I know (:

I think there were like 20 badges to find in the game that would unlock an outfit and a pistol or something. And those random crime things were like 40 or so emergency calls that you hear on the radio...shooting at 23rd corner maple street etc...then you drive there and save the day. I don't know if those were endless or just the 40 and that's it. But there were "many"

you should totally buy that pal. The DLC to Alan Wake is brilliant. American Nightmare is a spin off that has it's own flair to it and is great aswell. That's some pretty damn good quality package you can buy right there. telling ya man. Engine, physics, graphics, story...this franchise is genius on many levels. Remedy Games = GODS
