Decent doesn’t mean good. Lions have 1 post season win in their history. 1.....let that sink in. Since the super bowl era started, lions have 1 post season win.

And both years they got pummeled. They didn’t belong there

The Browns won their division 4 out of 5 years in the late 80’s. Went to the playoffs 5 straight years.

I do t think the Lions have won the division 4-5 times in the super bowl era combined. I should research that but I’d probably end up crying

They were good enough to get there. Just like the Chargers this year.

I didn’t say great or even elite. I said good. Good IMO is making the playoffs, which means you’re the top 30% roughly of the league.

Lions have won their division 3 times since ‘68.

They’ve made the playoffs 12 times and are 1-12.

Not all schedules are created equal. You sound like most lions fans I deal with in forums. They were not good but had weak ass schedules both years. 0 wins over teams with records over .500. Just because a team makes the post season doesn’t mean they are good

1991 was their best team since 1957. They got blown out by the redskins in the nfc championship game. Lions have always been mismanaged by the Fords. 3 division championships since the super bowl era. They had a really good team a few years ago and they started 5-0. Then Jahvid Best got another concussion and never played another snap. If he didn’t get hurt I think they had a shot. No team has been more futile and pathetic than the lions. Not sure you could find another team worse in all of sports. Maybe the new browns

I'll put the Timberwolves up there for worst sports team of all time. One conference championship appearance since they were founded as a team. Snuck into the playoffs last season for the first time in more than a decade, and promptly blew up after that. Garnett (and now maybe KAT) are the only good things to ever go through that organization.
