I made a hotdog sandwich for everyone on page one and no one cared.
It was promptly thrown away out of shame.

I would have eaten it!
And no one (except for four) accepts Merriam-Webster's definition for a sandwich either?

This is really a question about the expanded definition to fit things branded as a sandwich vs the original definition TBH. |
I understand- we can only call something a sandwich if eaten by the Earl of Sandwich. Granted, that eliminates peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
|
They fall under the original definition, the original definition was not his first or later sandwiches.
It is literally impossible to argue with you, I will try to never do so again. |
You're the same type as flat earthers, if you were dumber you might be one. |
Not at all- it is *you* who have accepted that a hot dog is special and different. I have provided you ample evidence that it is no better than a lot of other sandwiches. You cling to your irrational belief- that is what the flat earthers do. |
No I never did that, I agree that under the new wide definition of a sandwich it is a sandwich, once again you are putting words in my mouth.
But if we use that definition then Pitas become sandwiches and other shit too that should not be a sandwich, hot dogs included, just because marketers wanted subs to be sandwiches. |
Not unless you slice the pita.
And I've put no words in your mouth- you want to go back to the original definition. If not the Earl of Sandwich, what do you suggest as "original"?
See, I feel like I've been consistent this whole time, but everyone else wants to make their definition fit what they *feel*. And when you rely on feelings instead of logic, you get Trump as President.

Vlady, you fucking imbecile, hot dogs are not sandwiches.
Just like a burger is not a sandwich.
They are in their own category of greatness, and do not deserve to be categorized with the likes of pb&j and bullshit like that.
|
Another religious zealot.
A meatball sub and philly cheese are more closely related to a hot dog than a hamburger is.

Based on your definition a quesadilla is a sandwich, so you lose all credibility.

Incorrect. The tortilla does not constitute bread nor is it sliced post-baking, so it cannot be a sandwich.

They're not sandwiches unless the bread is cut through, per the definition of a sandwich.
Same goes for hot dogs.
A hamburger is a hamburger sandwich, the patty is the actual hamburger. |

It is according to the wikipedia article you quoted, and pitas too. Technically tortillas are bread?

That looks like you put hot dogs into a special category, though you at least acknowledge a burger is a sandwich. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |
