My mom just called me to inform me that my cousin's baby was going to born today via c section, but yesterday the doctors told him that the baby had no heart beat and was dead. He's absolutely gutted right now. That's a pain no one should endure. I'm sending him lots of thoughts and prayers today.

It's terrible. When my son was being born, he didn't want to come out, so they started inducing. I went to grab some chinese food that had been delivered and come back to a bunch of doctors in with my wife- she has a low blood pressure normally and the petocin or however it was spelled had dropped her and Liam's heart rate significantly. They decided the were going to do a C-section because they didn't want it to become an emergency situation. They wheeled her off to the operating room while I got on surgical blues in the room by myself, not knowing if either one of them was gonna make it out of this. Loneliest feeling I have ever had in my life.

It all worked out, but I can only grasp a tiny bit what he's going through because of that.

His 10 year old daughter was very excited for her baby brother and was there when the doctor broke the news. I just can't imagine trying to comfort her and deal with this. These are the type of scars that never heal.

With our first, my wife was induced cause she was two weeks past her due date and they thought the baby was nearing 10 lbs so they didn't want to wait any longer. After about 10 minutes after they gave her the shot of petocin, her uterus contracted and didn't release, which caused the baby's heart rate to drop. We really didn't know what was going on when the whole team of Dr's and nurses rushed in, but they broke her water and that caused the uterus to release and then luckily everything went fine.

But I do understand the anxiety of it all when they are rushing in, but still have no clue what they can be going with the a still born.

My wife's water had broken the night before, my son was just stubborn and didn't want to come out.

I have no idea where his stubbornness comes from. Must be my wife.

Maybe it's the trickle down effect that you always talk about.

My mom fell and broke her humerus, hip , and femur. Had surgery on the leg yesterday. Not much they can do for the arm, though.

No, just fell in her kitchen. Osteoporosis and age.

Wow that sucks. Getting old scares the shit out of me.

Sorry to hear Primate. Few months rehab after the surgery? Will she get home health care afterwards?
