Listen... despite all odds and my insistence that I would hate it going into it, I actually enjoyed the first one. I got a few laughs out of this one, primarily from the Uncle Joe character, but I could have done without seeing this sequel.
ppppppppppp good Cart! I laughed throughout the whole thing. Gosling stole the show. Both were funny but his delivery was pitch perfect most of the time. The humor in this movie was right up my alley at times, some fun unique stuff. Hardest I laughed was when they chucked the body over the fence and it violently crashed into the people's dinner table
Would love a sequel about a new case and them as partners tbh
SOLID, felt pretty stylish/modern for something made 45 years ago. Definitely noticed some Malick hallmarks creeping in here
Martin Sheen was rly good. He looked so different back then, wouldn't have recognized him if it wasn't for the opening credits

Holly was weirdly unfazed by her dad's death (: There were definitely some oddly toned/awkward scenes like that, the scene with the couple getting shot in the cellar comes to mind too
The scenes in the forest were definitely the high point of the movie though, almost felt like a fucked up version of Moonrise Kingdom. In particular though that scene with Holly looking at the pictures and pondering what her life would be like if she had never met Kit etc was my favorite moment for sure, that was really well done

unfortunately it bombed at the box office so that's unlikely :( I would love that tho

Love the whole movie, but my favorite is probably the airport hotel, especially the elevator (and Gosling constantly screwing up Hitler references).
How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat?

"We were just following orders"
"You know who else were following orders? Hitler."

"Munich."
"What?"
"The guy who has no balls. Munich."
"Munich is a city in Germany. Munchen."
<pause>
"Did you know Hitler only had one ball?"

Man this was goooooood. It's a Spanish movie about a prison guard on his orientation when a huge riot breaks out and the prisoners take control of the row. He gets split from the other guards and he's forced to pretend to be a new prisoner in order to blend in and survive with the rioting prisoners
A fun concept and a really good script, takes some unexpected turns and plays a lot of interesting angles at once. Good stuff
A Bittersweet Life - Not my favorite of the Korean thrillers I've seen but still really solid. It's by the director who did I Saw The Devil and stars the same guy. Devil came after this and I liked Devil more but you still can't really beat Korean thrillers tbh, all the ones I've seen are so well done
Locke - Tom Hardy driving a car for 80 minutes and acting the shit out of it
