Darkest Hour

zzzzz

Good.

He was the only thing that made the movie even remotely worthwhile, sry Nofo. But I wasn't blown away by the performance and really really really want Timothée to beat him

Where is the "I like and dislike different parts of this post" button

That post was a 4 on the FE Watches scale.

Victor Crowley, the fourth Hatchet movie

pppppppp fun actually! They're dopey lower budget slashers but the gore is usually inventive and it's cool that Kane Hodder is doing it. This one embraced the campy fun and had genuinely funny/original laughs throughout it. The director of these grew up in the tiny unknown town next to mine so it's cool to see him make it big*

Columbus

really subtly good. Shocked it was from a first time director, the way he framed the entire movie was so great. A lot of the movie is about architecture and the way he shot it/placed the actors in the frame was definitely the movie’s highlight. The acting and music were great too

Personal Shopper

This was like three movies/genres in one but it...mostly worked? It really creeped me out at times, those spooky scenes were so effective. Kristen Stewart was good. Great performances from her and Pattinson this year, who knew!!

Watched Baywatch. Not a good story and nothing great about this movie. I did enjoy some of the dialogue and jokes between The Rock and Zac Effron. Those 2 were pretty enjoyable tbh. Lots of eye candy for men or woman as well.

I have scrolled past this because she's in it. So we should rethink this strategy?

You sure should, she’s good. She’s mostly herself and does her stuttering a lot but it works here

Let me know what you think if you watch it, it’s a weird one

I can't tell you how often I'm scrolling through movie channels and hit something, go "Let me check this out" then see an actor listed and go "AW fuck no."

But if I still did that with Ethan Hawke, I would never have seen Daybreakers. Willem Dafoe and Sam Neil sold me on watching that one, though.

Yeah change that strategy STAT!

I’m a sucker for “redemption movies” for people who are considered bad or at least get bad roles. Robert Pattinson was really great in Good Time last year. Usually it just takes the right script or director, remember when McConaughey was a joke for so many years?

My dad has an irrational hated for Ryan Gosling and won’t watch his movies. He misses some great ones because of that

I find it hard for a single actor to totally ruin a movie if the movie itself is good
