Great in the 4th quarter, though.

Although I agree that Williams should have been the mvp.

Was a fun game to watch.

Also not sure how anyone could say Shanahan blew it. He called the right plays when it counted, and hid the fact that Jimmy grapes is meh behind a great d and running game all season.

Damien Williams should've been MVP

But yet again the actual MVP is overlooked for a QB even though THEY were a bigger component of the comeback. See: James White a few years ago

just name the award to QB That Won The Game

and you guys have not even talked about the end of the first half. not calling time out before the punt so they could keep the Chiefs from getting the ball back after they failed on offense instead of calling time out and having time to go down the filed and try to at least get into FG range.

yeah, end of the first half was arguably more egregious to me. By trying to run out the clock there they basically conceded that there was no way Jimmy G was driving them down in 2 min, which makes their playcalling at the end of the 4th quarter even more head-scratching. And IF that wasn't their thinking and it was more that they were somehow content to go into half with a tie that's even dumber. All you have to do is look back at the Texans and Titans games for why you need to pad your lead as much as you possibly can against that team

But do you think Jimmy G could have driven them down in 2 minutes. I thought it was fine.

Honestly they were a 3rd and 15 away from probably winning.

he was fine doing play action while the run game was still in play. Then when he had to try to carry his team at the end he was straight garbo, the worst was the overthrow on what should've been a TD to Sanders. Wasn't even close between him and Mahomes

If it wasn't for a questionable OPI on Kittle they would've made it to FG range even with the little time they had remaining. If they had that time back they could've worked in a couple more runs too. idk, that just felt like playing not to lose

This said I don't think it was ALL his fault, the Chiefs were putting some pretty good pressure on him at the end. Tho you could say the same about 49ers D and Mahomes all game

This is what I am saying. Jimmy G is fine if you have 8 in the box and are blitzing absolutely nobody. When you have to throw and they can bring heat, he's not your guy. Coach knew that, and did all he could to hide it.
