Creationism as I specifically stated later is folks who believe the Earth is 6000 years old. That is harmful to society. When im mentioned later about biblical metaphor and the like, I again specifically mentioned that this is how many scientists reconcile their religious faith with science. I have no issue with that and never have.

I do have issues with the folks who believe the Earth is 6000 years old and that because it is their "opinion" that we should acknowledge it. That is the entire problem- opinions are not equally valid when they are based on facts versus nonfacts or worse, intentionally misrepresented facts. Sort of like you have decided to misrepresent the facts of what I have said in here.

So I challenge you to find one place where I have "lumped you in" with "christians or conservatives". In fact, other than answering posts, I have yet to call you anything in these posts other than telling you to address your own bias first, whereas you've been the one calling me bigot and making assumptions on my beliefs. If anything, you are libertarian in my mind, not conservative, so it would be silly to argue so. It would be like calling Ahoda conservative (though he sometimes votes that way for job purposes only).

And if I had a problem with all or even most Xians, I sure as hell would have an issue with Buffy, Dyl, and the other Xians on this board. Except they don't believe the Earth is 6000 years old. I will joke with them just like Buffy made a whole Satan thread for me awhile back to post in (which got me no end of giggles).

To be clear vlady. Most belief systems (probably all, FIIK?) have some tenants that are completely wrong. That said, the ideas aren't the problem. The problem is when those ideas are forced on others and used as a tool like you have done in this thread. Like the religious right, Like the hate groups, like the soviet communists post ww2, like the inquisitors.

And like I said, we all exhibit bigotry in some form. It's a part of being human. I'm just trying to get you to own yours instead of making excuses and back doors for it..

I know the definition and I can honestly say I'm not a bigot. I don't show hate to people for their beliefs, I don't really show hatred towards anone unless we are playing mafia. I guess you can say I am a bigot for my hatred of cat but that is just cause he is a shitty person, it has nothing to do with his beliefs.

And I will still continue to say that opinions aren't all equal when some are based on facts and others are based on ignoring said facts. When Flat Earthers have to suggest that the "Edge of the world" is made up of spatial warps and that's why nobody has fallen off the edge yet, you really just have to say their opinions on Earth Science should be disregarded at best.
